The form of organization of the room s space where the activities and the defined dynamics for the relation between its diverse components are carried through will reflect the scenario for the learning and the process of infantile development. Considering this aspect, the work space must, beyond taking care of its objectives, to provide comfort, well-being, health and security to its users for the realization of its work. So, the objective of this study was to analyze the implications of the activities carried through the room-environment on the Quality Work Life (QWL) of the educators who act in the institutions of Infantile Education with children from 2 to 5 years old. The present study it was carried through the Infantile Development Laboratory (LDI), located at the Federal University of Viçosa, in Viçosa, state of Minas Gerais, being the study population the educators of the room 3 that take care of children from 3 to 5 years old. For the realization of the data collection, interviews and observations of the activities had been used, using filmings and photographs as register instruments. The gotten data indicate that it has positive and negative aspects in relation to the QWL of the educators; that the functions prescribed by the institution are sintable for the routine and activities developed; the educators adopt inadequate postures in their realization, having necessity of an ergonomic intervention in this sense and relation to the furniture, the tub, where the hygienic cleaning of the children is carried through, is the equipment that more cause damage to the maintenance of adequate postures. The analysis of the gotten data subsidized the formulation of a proposal of an instrument of evaluation of the work s conditions of work of the educators of children from 2 to 5 years old, considering body s usage. This instrument is composed for observations cards relating the adopted corporal postures in the different areas of interest; the postures and the time of permanence, the frequency of behaviors and the representation of the postures adopted during the execution of the work. The organization of the environment in the rooms does not offer adequate conditions of work to the educators, as for the adoption of inadequate labor postures in the realization of determined activities and that from the analysis of the conditions of work of the same ones it can become a diagnosis and a proposal of action to promote an improvement in the QWL of them.
