Resumo: Desiccation has the objective of control weeds and cause defoliation of the crop. It can also anticipate harvest, standardizing and reducing losses, reducing impurities, yielding grain cleaner and better quality. In addition to reducing the damage caused by the attack of fungi and pests final cycle. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of pre-harvest desiccation of early soybean and semi-late on anticipating cycle, production and physiological seed quality. The experiment was conducted in the agricultural year 2012/13, the experimental field of UFV (Campus Viçosa). In a randomized block design in a factorial 2 x 4 (two cultivars x four seasons) with four replications. We used the BRS Valiosa RR, determinate growth and MSoy 7211 RR, indeterminate growth. The drying was carried out in stages R5.7, R6.5, R7.3, and a control with harvesting R80. Desiccation was performed with the herbicide paraquat in a dose of 2.0 L h-1 Commercial Product. Were evaluated number of days to harvest after dissection (NDPC), cycle duration in days, water content in the seeds (TA), yield in kg ha-1, 100 seed weight (P100), oil content, protein, proportion of seeds per sieve (6, 5.5, 5 and 4mm), green seed, deformed and normal percentage. Following tests were performed first count germination, germination, root length and aerial part, germination after accelerated aging, speed of emergence, emergence in sand, dry weight of shoot and root. There was a significant interaction (p <0.05) between cultivar x desiccation time for the NDPC, cycle, P100, oil content in the seed and germination. About the main factors, only 5.5 mm sieve fraction was not significant. The dissection in early stages R5.7 and R6.5 reduced productivity and P100. R5.7 promoted average reduction of 27% in productivity. The desiccation in R5.7 promoted average reduction of 27% in productivity. It was possible to anticipate the harvest cultivate MSoy 7211 RR up to 11 days without yield losses, unlike the BRS Valiosa RR, whose cycle reduction caused a productivity reduction. For the seed oil content was observed before the desiccation R5.7 reduced its content in 8 and 2% for the cultivars MSoy 7211 RR and BRS Valiosa RR, respectively, when compared harvesting in R8.0 stage. Germination, however, was not affected. Desiccation from R7.3 did not reduce the production, vigor and germination of both cultivars.

Pode também antecipar a colheita, uniformizando e reduzindo as perdas, diminuindo as impurezas, obtendo-se grãos mais limpos e de melhor qualidade. Além de reduzir os prejuízos decorrentes do ataque fungos e pragas de final de ciclo. Objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar o efeito da dessecação pré-colheita de soja determinada e indeterminada sobre a antecipação do ciclo, produção e qualidade fisiológica das sementes. O experimento foi conduzido no ano agrícola 2012/13, no campo experimental da UFV (Campus Viçosa). No delineamento em blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 2 x 4 (duas cultivares x quatro épocas) com quatro repetições. Foram utilizadas as cultivares BRS Valiosa RR, de crescimento determinado, e MSoy 7211 RR, de crescimento indeterminado. A dessecação foi realizada nos estádios R5.7, R6.5, R7.3 e um tratamento controle com a colheita em R8. A dessecação foi feita com o herbicida Paraquat na dose de 2,0 L ha-1 de produto comercial. Foram avaliados o número de dias para colheita após dessecação (NDPC), duração do ciclo em dias, teor de água das sementes (TA), produtividade em kg ha-1, peso de 100 sementes (P100), teor de óleo, proteína, proporção de sementes por peneira (6,0, 5,5, 5,0 e 4,0mm), percentual de sementes esverdeadas, deformadas e normais. Foram realizados os testes de primeira contagem da germinação, germinação, comprimento de raízes e parte aérea, germinação após envelhecimento acelerado, índice de velocidade de emergência, emergência em areia, peso da matéria seca da parte aérea e raiz. Verificou-se interação significativa (p<0,05) entre cultivar x época de dessecação para o NDPC, ciclo, P100, teor de óleo na semente e germinação. Em relação aos fatores principais, apenas a fração de peneira 5,5 mm não apresentou significância. A dessecação precoce nos estádios R5.7 e R6.5 reduziu a produtividade e P100. A dessecação em R5.7 promoveu redução média de 27% na produtividade. Foi possível antecipar a colheita da cultivar MSoy 7211 RR em até 11 dias sem prejuízos à produtividade, ao contrário da cultivar BRS Valiosa RR, cuja redução do ciclo promoveu redução na produtividade. Para o teor de óleo da semente foi observado que a dessecação em R5.7 reduziu o seu teor em 8 e 2% para as cultivares MSoy 7211 RR e BRS Valiosa RR, respectivamente, quando comparados a colheita em R8.0. A germinação, todavia, não foi afetada.
