Resumo: The increasing world-wide pressure for the development of less pollutant automotive technologies has stimulated the use of the Biodiesel. The discussion on the insertion of biodiesel in the power source in Brazil has intensified itself, with focus on oil crops that propitiate greater use of workmanship in regions that are less developed economically. In that context, the Physic nut culture has aroused interest on part of national program, since the Northeast and North regions of Minas Gerais present great potential for the implantation of that culture. The Physic nut is a plant which produces oil with all the qualities necessary to be transformed into oil diesel. Currently it is aimed to establish practices of physic nut culture that allows making possible its exploitation under rational and economic techniques. International experiences and the observations of isolated plants have pointed with respect to one high productive potential, but there are few scientific studies. There are no criteria that allow interpretation of soil analysis and recommendation of agricultural liming and fertilizers for Physic nut crop. The use of the mechanistic methods makes possible to develop a System of Recommendation of Agricultural liming and Fertilizers in a much reduced time and without leading the experiments in accordance with the traditional method. The purpose of this work was to determine the biomass, nutrients in Physic nut, and developing a fertilization system based on the nutritional balance aiming at plant production to foment the production of biofuels in Minas Gerais State. The data were gathered in areas located in Mocambinho, Jaíba/MG, in dry land conditions, different ages of plantation (2, 3 and 4 years). In each parcel, it was used a plant for determination of dry matter, contents and partitions of the nutrients of its components. The amount of the nutrient supplied by the soil was calculated determining the quotient between nutrient content and the rate of its recovery by the extract, adding to nutrients supplied by the organic matter. Values of nutrients use efficiency for the rind and seed production were determined in order to get definite productivity. The amount of nutrient required by the culture was esteem by the sum of the amount of nutrient necessary for production of seeds and the requirement for production of stem, leaves, roots and fruits rinds. The production of total dry mass varied according to the age. The nutrients contents in the components varied, being higher for K, N and Ca between the macronutrients and Mn, Fe and Zn for the micronutrients. The fruits rinds presented K contents superior to the others components of the plant, being an alternative for use in the organic fertilization. The proposed system of recommendation established higher doses for N, P and K than the ones currently used for the Physic nut.

A discussão sobre a inserção do biodiesel na matriz energética no Brasil tem se intensificado, focando plantas oleaginosas que propiciem maior emprego de mão de obra em regiões que estejam à margem do processo do desenvolvimento econômico. Nesse contexto, a cultura do Pinhão-manso vem despertando interesse por parte do programa nacional, tendo em vista que as regiões Nordeste e Norte de Minas Gerais apresentam grande potencial para a implantação dessa cultura. O Pinhão-manso é uma planta produtora de óleo com todas as qualidades necessárias para ser transformado em óleo diesel. Atualmente busca-se estabelecer práticas de cultivo do pinhão-manso que permitam viabilizar sua exploração sob técnicas racionais e econômicas. Experiências internacionais e as observações de plantas isoladas têm apontado para um elevado potencial produtivo, mado a utilização do Biodiesel. Aas existem poucos estudos científicos. Ainda não se dispõem de critérios que permitam a interpretação das análises de solo e recomendação de corretivos e fertilizantes para a cultura do Pinhão-manso. A utilização dos métodos mecanísticos possibilita desenvolver um Sistema de Recomendação de Corretivos e Fertilizantes em tempo bastante reduzido e sem conduzir os experimentos conforado a utilização do Biodiesel. Ame o método tradicional. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a biomassa, nutrientes em Pinhão-manso, e desenvolver um sistema de adubação com base no balanço nutricional visando à produção vegetal para fomentar a produção de biocombustíveis no Estado de Minas Gerais. Os dados foram coletados em áreas localizadas em Mocambinho, Jaíba/MG, em condições de sequeiro, em diferentes idades de plantio (2, 3 e 4 anos). Em cada parcela, foi utilizada uma planta para determinação da matéria seca, teores e partições dos nutrientes de seus componentes. A quantidade do nutriente fornecida pelo solo foi calculada determinando o quociente entre o teor do nutriente e a taxa de sua recuperação pelo extrato, somando aos nutrientes fornecidos pela matéria orgânica. Foram determinados valores de eficiência de utilização de nutrientes para a produção de casca e semente, com vistas a obter definida produtividade. A quantidade de nutriente demandado pela cultura foi estimada pelo somatório da quantidade de nutriente necessário para produção de sementes e a demanda para produção de caule, folhas, raízes e cascas dos frutos. A produção de massa seca total variou com a idade. Os teores de nutrientes nos componentes variaram, sendo maiores para K, N e Ca entre os macronutrientes e Mn, Fe e Zn para os micronutrientes. As cascas dos frutos apresentaram teores de K superiores aos demais componentes da planta, sendo uma alternativa para utilização na adubação orgânica.
