Resumo: Quality of life has become the focus of multidisciplinary research over the past decades. The relationship between variables such as the employment context, changes such as aging population and family relations have become important in reframing the QoL of individuals. This study aimed at analyzing and understanding the reality experienced by the employee in charge of agriculture to assist the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Minas Gerais, from the inter-relationship between work and family activity and its implications for quality life. Specifically, we sought to: identify and analyze the socioeconomic profile of this population, identify the work and really relate it to the quality of life of agricultural aids; understand the quality of life and functionality of the family group, identify and analyze daily habits health indicators that can influence the quality of life, to analyze the perception of work ability and the incidence of pain in the group investigated. Descriptive study of qualitative and quantitative approach was carried out in Viçosa-MG considering the period of 2010, with 54 assistants UFV agriculture, all male. The methods of data collection were half-open and closed questionnaires, such as questionnaires WHOQOL, Apgar family, Ability Index work (ICT) Map of Sorrows and others with direct observation of 10 jobs, using the measurement of the environment work for analysis of temperature (Thermo-Anemometer), noise (decibel meter), lighting (light meter) and ventilation (Thermo-Anemometer). Were also measured body weight and height to calculate Body Mass Index (BMI), waist circumference and hip to Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR) and blood pressure of subjects at rest (PAR). For data analysis we used the resources of descriptive and inferential statistics from the SPSS 15.0 software. There was 57.4% of the group performing agricultural activities and the average time in current occupation was 23 years and 8 months. It was found that 31.5% of the group has suffered an accident at work, while handling a tool in activities in the field, reaching the hands and arms. It was found that working environments had adequate characteristics except in places where lighting and temperature rose throughout the day. It was noticed high levels of satisfaction in all areas and the perception of overall quality of life, the physical domain is most relevant to the group. With regard to family functioning, 87% of them felt good, indicating satisfaction with the dynamics of the unit domestic. Como daily habits was observed in 20.4% smoking and alcohol consumption in 55.7% of the group, 31 5% of subjects perform some type of physical activity weekly, 25.9% consume coffee in doses considered normal, and slept an average of 7 hours and 31 minutes per day. It was found that 50% of the individuals had a BMI within the normal range, and 48% were considered above the ideal weight for their age and height. The WHR has shown that 55% of the individuals had coronary risk "moderate," 28% risk "high" risk and 2% "very high" and the PAR was above normal in 33% of the group. Despite the good capacity for work was a high incidence of pain in the lumbar spine and lumbar spine, suggesting poor posture and overload on them. The subjects said they had a good quality of life with an appreciation of the physical domain, satisfaction with family functioning, and provided with care and affection. It is believed that when it comes to the world of work, they tend to claim they are valued in good health to do it, a fact that guaranteed them a productive longevity status in society.

A relação entre variáveis como o contexto do trabalho, mudanças populacionais como o envelhecimento e as relações familiares se tornaram importantes na ressignificação da QV dos indivíduos. O presente estudo teve como objetivo geral analisar e compreender a realidade vivenciada pelo trabalhador no cargo de auxiliar de agropecuária da Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)-MG, a partir da inter-relação entre a atividade laboral e familiar e suas implicações na qualidade de vida. Especificamente, pretendeu-se: identificar e analisar o perfil socioeconômico desta população; identificar a realidade laboral e relacioná-la com a qualidade de vida dos auxiliares de agropecuária; compreender a qualidade de vida e funcionalidade familiar do grupo, identificar os hábitos diários e analisar indicadores de saúde que podem influenciar na qualidade de vida destes; analisar a percepção da capacidade para o trabalho e a incidência de dores do grupo investigado. Estudo descritivo, de abordagem quali-quantitativa, foi realizado na cidade de Viçosa-MG considerando o período de 2010, com 54 auxiliares de agropecuária da UFV, todos do sexo masculino. Os métodos de coleta de dados foram questionários fechados e semiabertos, tais como questionários WHOQOL, APGAR de família, Índice de Capacidade para o trabalho (ICT), Mapa de Dores e outros com observação direta de 10 postos de trabalho, uso da mensuração do ambiente laboral para análise da temperatura (Termo-Anemômetro), do ruído, (Decibelímetro), iluminação, (Luxímetro) e ventilação (Termo-Anemômetro). Também foram aferidos o peso corporal e altura para cálculo do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC), circunferência abdominal e do quadril para a Relação Cintura-Quadril (RCQ) dos sujeitos e a pressão arterial em repouso (PAR). Para a análise de dados utilizou-se recursos da estatística descritiva e inferencial a partir do software SPSS 15.0. Observou-se 57,4% do grupo exercendo atividades agrárias e o tempo médio na ocupação atual foi 23 anos e 8 meses. Verificou-se que 31,5% do grupo já sofreu acidente no trabalho, durante o manuseio de alguma ferramenta em atividades no campo, atingindo mãos e braços. Constatou-se que os ambientes laborais apresentaram características adequadas exceto em alguns pontos em que a temperatura e iluminação elevaram-se ao longo do dia. Percebeu-se altos índices de satisfação em todos os domínios e na percepção geral da qualidade de vida, sendo o domínio físico o mais relevante para o grupo. Em relação à funcionalidade familiar, 87% deles a consideraram boa, indicando satisfação em relação à dinâmica da unidade doméstica.Como hábitos diários observou-se o tabagismo em 20,4% e consumo de bebida alcoólica em 55,7% do grupo, 31,5 % dos sujeitos realizam algum tipo de atividade física semanalmente, 25,9% consomem café em doses consideradas normais, e dormiam uma média de 7 horas e 31 minutos por dia. Constatou-se que 50% dos avaliados possuíam um IMC dentro da faixa de normalidade, e 48% possuíam peso acima do ideal considerado para sua idade e altura. A RCQ permitiu verificar que 55% dos avaliados apresentaram risco coronariano moderado , 28% risco alto e 2% risco muito alto e a PAR estava acima da normalidade em 33% do grupo. Apesar da boa capacidade para o trabalho houve grande incidência de dor nas regiões da coluna e lombar, sugerindo má postura e sobrecarga sobre as mesmas. Os sujeitos disseram haver uma boa qualidade de vida com valorização do domínio físico, satisfação em relação à funcionalidade familiar, e providos de cuidados e afeto.
