Resumo: The growing concern about global warming and the increasing share of biodiesel in the global energy matrix have increased interest in the cultivation and processing of oil seeds. So that, opportunities for ruminant production through the use of coproducts of biodiesel production have been created. Among the wastes, there is glycerine, a triol viscous, colorless, odorless, hygroscopic that is there s ult of the transesterification reaction of a lipid source in the presence of a catalyst and of a short chainal cohol (methanol or ethanol). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of inclusion of crude glycerin replaced by corn grain mille din the proportions of 0%, 33.33%, 66.66% and 100%, on the basis of dry matter (DM), on consumption, digestibility, serum, milk production and composition. It was used 12 Holstein cows, distributed in 3 Latin Squares 4 X 4, according to the milk production. The animals were fed in the ratio of 70:30 in rough age and concentrate in dry matter basis. It was used corn siagel as the sole source of roughage. It was carried out the analysis of variance to compare the balance by using the 10% level of probability for type I error. There was not significant effects (P<0.1) for DM, NDF and TDN. The DM and NDF digestibilities have followed these a met rend, with no significant effect (P<0.1) when replaced by 100% of corn by the crude glycerin. The intake and digestibility of crude protein (CP) has decreased linearly. The in take of lipid and non-fiber carbohydrates has increased linearly (P<0.1). The lipids and non fiber carbohydrates digestibilities have followed thes a met rend, increasing linearly. Despite the TDN intake has not been influenced significantly (P<0.1), the value of TDN (% of DM) has increased linearly. The Milk production (PL) and PL corrected to 4% fat (PL4G) have not been influenced significantly (P<0.1) with the total replacement of corn graing round by GB. Even thought hes a met rend has been followed, there was no significant effect (P <0.1) for milk composition (fat, protein, lactose, total solids and somatic cell score). Serum levels (HDL, LDL, VLDL, triglycerides, and glucose) have not been affected significantly (P<0.1), apart from the total cholesterol, which decreased linearly with in creasing inclusion of crude glycerin. It was concluded that MGM can totally replace corn grain ground in the diets of cows with forage: concentrate ratio of 70: 30 and production of up to 15 kg of milk.

It was concluded that MGM can totally replace corn grain ground in the diets of cows with forage: concentrate ratio of 70: 30 and production of up to 15 kg of milk.
