Resumo: The objective of this work was to analyze the actions of the Street-Dance Workshop Project, part of the Tim ArtEducAction Program (PTAEA), in the municipal district of Viçosa, MG, from the point of view of the assisted adolescents and their families. The study focused on the Street-Dance Workshop Project, for being the most-frequently sought program by the involved adolescents. The divided qualitative methodology was adopted in this research. Data collection was carried out in two stages: the first, of exploratory character, sought to characterize the history of PTAEA in Viçosa through documental analysis; and, the second, with interviews using a semi-structured script with adolescents from urban and rural areas and their parents or guardians, concerning issues related to the PTAEA and the Street-Dance Workshop. The results showed that the Tim ArtEducAction Program was still ignored by most of the adolescents and their relatives, both from urban and rural areas. Most families of the adolescents participating in the Street-Dance Workshop had no information on this activity, its purpose, or the benefits it can bring. On the other hand, the adolescents and families that knew the Tim Program were satisfied with the results achieved after they join the Workshop. In terms of behavior and discipline at home and in school, school performance and family relationships, it can be concluded that the Tim Program, by means of the Project, contributed to the social inclusion of this part of the community. Regarding the proposal for reducing school dropout rates, the parents and guardians testimonies and evaluations confirmed that the adolescents disliked missing classes, enjoyed going to school and studying; achieved good grades and showed improved discipline and respect for teachers and friends. Despite experiencing two different social realities, the adolescents from urban and rural areas demonstrated the importance of the arts, through dance, for their school performance and behavior in general, for their lives and of their families. It is worth to point out the importance of the partnership among Tim Maxitel (private sector), the State and Municipal Districts (public sector) and HumanizArte NOG (social sector) to benefit the children and adolescents assisted by the Tim ArtEducAction Program. The results of this research led to the conclusion that the Tim Program has met the goals established in its proposals concerning to the adolescents' artistic, cultural and social involvement in activities that promote social inclusion, developing wider and better expectations about the future in these boys and girls lives.
