Resumo: A decision support system prototype was developed to evaluate the economical viability of integrated industrial and agricultural projects in the biodiesel supply chain. Called SADBioDiesel, the prototype allows answering questions like: how much should be paid to the farmers from their raw material to provide good income to them and at the same time giving good return to the industry? ; how much are the investments on the industry and the agricultural links? ; which regions and oilseeds are more competitive? ; and how competitive is a project with the stamp Social Fuel over a project without it? . Using the method of information system prototyping, SADBioDiesel contains concepts of the financial mathematic and economical engineering. So, after the general configuration, and the industrial and agricultural budgeting, the prototype presents as results to support the investment s decision the classical indicators of economic evaluation, NPV, IRR and PBP to the both industrial and agricultural links more the indicators about the rural family income, the unitary profit of the land use and the number of beneficiaries of the agricultural link, which help the user to conclude about the agroindustrial project viability.

Denominado SADBioDiesel, o protótipo permite avaliar questões do tipo: qual o montante de investimentos necessários para produtores agrícolas e industriários? ; que preço deve ser pago ao agricultor familiar para que o mesmo tenha garantia de renda familiar mínima e a indústria tenha bons retornos financeiros? ; que região ou oleaginosa permite obtenção de custos de produção e preços de venda mais competitivos? ; e quão competitivo é um projeto com Selo Combustível Social contra um projeto sem o Selo? . Seguindo o processo de prototipação de sistemas de informação, o SADBioDiesel foi desenvolvido a partir de conceitos de matemática financeira e de avaliação econômica de projetos de investimento.
