In this work we aim to monitor the depth variation of the groundwater table in the watershed of Riacho Fundo in Felixlândia, MG state, based on rainfall, soil morphometry and resistance. The experiment was conducted in Zanini Florestal lands, and the watershed has an area of 719.9 ha, it has forestry plantations, roads, and areas of cerrado regeneration. The weather is mesothermal humid with maximum annual average temperature of 25.3°C, and minimum annual average of 15.5°C and average annual rainfall of 1235 mm. The groundwater table monitoring was accomplished by measuring the water level in the piezometric wells. The physical measure of the watershed analyzed were: compacity coefficient, shape factor, circularity index, drainage density, channel order, maximum altitude, average and minimum, maximum slope, average and minimum, altimetric amplitude and roughness index. Rainfall open spot was monitored by the aid of rain gauges installed in the watershed, and soil resistance was measured using a digital penetrometer. For the analyzed period, the open rate of precipitation was 984.71 mm to the method of arithmetic mean and 998.07 mm for the Thiessen polygon method. The morphometry indicates a watershed tending to the circular shape, of gentle relief and a little drained. The mechanical strength of the soil was classified as moderate and high. There was a decrease in the level of piezometric wells during the study period, representing a discharge of water from groundwater table, possibly due to lower levels of rainfall in the year in question.
