Resumo: The possibility of bauxite mining in Território da Serra do Brigadeiro (TSB Serra do Brigadeiro Territory Zona da Mata mineira) is extremely controversial because of the social-environmental issues involved, especially concerned to threat to the rural population and to the biodiversity of Parque Estadual da Serra do Brigadeiro (PESB Serra do Brigadeiro State Reserve). Familiar agriculture predominates in TSB, which has other economic development projects. Because of this controversy, the objective of this study was to identify impacts from bauxite mining in this context and to analyze knowledge of professors aiming at proposition of formation strategy in Environment Education. It was aimed to identify impacts diffused on Report of Environment Impacts (Relatório de Impactos Ambientais - RIMA) of Brazilian Company of Aluminum (Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio CBA) and to enlarge its understanding, especially regarding those explained in the anthropic medium; to identify a corpus of knowledge mobilized by professor on the environmental theme, and on the theme of mining, in particular; and to contribute to the education of teachers, from the elaboration of teaching cases to be used as thinking tools. Different research methodologies were used. The case study, whose data collection tools were bibliographic and documental Works; descriptive research, which used a questionnaire as strategy of data collection, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed; elaboration of Teaching Cases, whose theoretical reference was Lee Shulman. Therefore, especially on the anthropic media and because considerations referring to other possibilities of using natural resources were not explained RIMA of CBA was not reliable to the loss of cultural and historical patrimony, changing of socio-cultural relationships and symbolic nature, identity and affective links. Environment impacts available on Interaction Networks made it possible a more comprehensive view, as a dynamics and interdependent system of physical, biotic and social interactions. The negative impacts prevail over the positive impacts. It is suggested that works on this theme have continuity to help on the creation and effectiveness of public policies and environmental education programs. It is also suggested that interaction networks are used as educational resource. Teachers support their practices in various forms of knowledge: professional, disciplinary or content training, with emphasis on local knowledge. Professors have also evidenced richness of knowledge on the social-environmental problems in the region, they have identified the important role of PESB and they have showed the main environment problems that bauxite mining can bring with it. It is believed that those knowledges can contribute to the composition of part of a repertoire of knowledge to teach this theme. However, it was also found the need to reframe some knowledge related to the promotion of a more critical teaching in environmental education, highlighting the historical descharacterization of the region, the importance of political participation to tackle such problems and the knowledge of content related to mining. Thus, two teaching cases were drawn up as a possibility for development of the strategic thinking of teachers "Environmental and pedagogical concerns of Professor Alexandra" and "Mining: new concerns of Professor Alexandra." In such cases, it is implicit questions about the political, social and economic origins of environmental problems in the region; understanding of local history; recovery and rescue of culture; recognition of alternative development projects for the region; understanding of social and environmental impacts that bauxite mining may bring; and the recognition of the need for an interdisciplinary work and collective projects for the development of environmental issues.

No TSB predomina a agricultura familiar, que tem outros projetos de desenvolvimento econômico. Em vista dessa controvérsia, este estudo objetivou identificar os impactos decorrentes da mineração de bauxita nesse contexto e analisar os saberes dos professores com vistas à proposição de estratégia de formação em Educação Ambiental. Especificamente, procuraram-se identificar os impactos veiculados no Relatório de Impactos Ambientais (RIMA) da Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio (CBA) e ampliar sua compreensão, principalmente em referência àqueles explicitados no meio antrópico; identificar um corpus de saberes mobilizados pelos professores na temática ambiental e, em particular, sobre o tema mineração; e contribuir para a formação de professores, a partir da elaboração de casos de ensino a serem utilizados como instrumento de reflexão. Adotaram-se diferentes metodologias de pesquisa. O Estudo de Caso, cujos instrumentos de coleta de dados foram as Pesquisas Bibliográfica e Documental; a Pesquisa Descritiva, em que se adotou o questionário como estratégia de coleta de dados, analisados quantitativa e qualitativamente; e a elaboração de Casos de Ensino, cuja referência teórica foi Lee Shulman. Assim, o RIMA da CBA mostrou-se questionável, principalmente no meio antrópico, pois não se explicitaram as considerações referentes a outras possibilidades do uso dos recursos naturais, à perda do patrimônio histórico e cultural, à alteração das relações socioculturais e aos vínculos de natureza simbólica, identitária e afetiva. Os impactos ambientais dispostos nas Redes de Interação possibilitaram uma visão mais abrangente, como um sistema dinâmico e interdependente de interações física, biótica e social. Os impactos negativos predominaram sobre os positivos. Sugere-se que pesquisas na temática tenham continuidade para auxiliar na criação e efetivação de políticas públicas e Programas de Educação Ambiental. Sugere-se, também, que as Redes de Interação sejam utilizadas como recurso didático. Os professores apoiam suas práticas em diversas formas de saberes: de formação profissional, disciplinar e, ou, de conteúdo, curricular e cultural, com destaque para os saberes locais. Os professores também evidenciaram riqueza de conhecimento acerca dos problemas socioambientais da região, identificaram o papel relevante do PESB e apontaram os principais impactos ambientais que a mineração de bauxita poderá trazer. Acredita-se que esses saberes possam contribuir para a composição de parte de um repertório de conhecimentos para o ensino na temática. Contudo, percebeu-se, também, a necessidade de ressignificar alguns saberes relacionados à promoção de um ensino mais crítico em Educação Ambiental, destacando-se o histórico da descaracterização da região, a importância da participação política para enfrentar tais problemas e os saberes de conteúdo relacionados à mineração. Para tanto, elaboraram-se dois casos de ensino como possibilidade de desenvolvimento do pensamento estratégico dos professores Preocupações ambientais e pedagógicas da professora Alexandra e Mineração: novas preocupações da professora Alexandra .
