Situated between the studies about youth and education, this dissertation of the empirical, exploratory; qualitative and descriptive character, provides as research subjects the young women aged between 18 and 29 years old, formal sector workers in the trade and services in the municipality of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu. We opted for restrictive definition to the formal sector of trade and services because these are the branches of labor in the municipality that, exhibit the biggest concentration of employed women with the profile defined for the study. Through the instrumental questionnaire- composed of an ordered series of open questions of opinion, closed two choices and multiple choices, we sought to understand in what measure young women from Santa Terezinha de Itaipu experience in specific conditions, the attendance to school benches and the development of their work activities in the sphere of formal work link. Therefore, the general purpose proposed was to learn, understand and analyze the relationship between educational background and the objective conditions of women workers, aged between 18 and 29 years old formally employed in the sectors of trade and services in the municipality of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu. This way, to study the relationships materialized - young people and the labor market - our object of study was marked to be an indivisible point between work and formal education. It arises from the surveys presented in this paper, the need to broaden the studies, including various debates and dissemination about ways of how to provide the appropriate combination between the institution of a quality education and the political and financial support to young people who need and are excluded from front this process. We believe that to have access to these means will cause the vicious circle of poverty , unemployment, poor educational background and all its consequences be minimized. This will enable the reduction of social disparities and contribute to the constitution of a more democratic society, where people can live decently considering the collective well-being and respect for humanity.
