Resumo: The use of Digital Technologies of Information and Communication - DTIC in school processes of teaching and learning is a trend that has been discussed and adopted recently in Brazil. The presence of literacy in contemporary society together with the popularization of technological devices able to connect their users to text through the Internet, greatest exponent of DTIC, strengthens the argument that education can‟t avoid to integrate the teaching of reading the technology. Thus, many academic studies analyze the relationship between reading and technology. Considering the definition of that object to the reading of written texts and DTIC, the overall objective of this dissertation is to analyze the academic research on the subject of discussion is reading and technology, the dialogue between the theoretical framework adopted by them and this object. Through literature review, the theoretical and methodological perspective of the theory of Bakhtin‟s language and his Circle and the historical and dialectical materialism, the aim is to discuss how the authors of academic research, whose objective reading and technology, discuss -in to the theoretical framework adopted for its approach. According to the criteria of belonging to the research object were selected for analysis four dissertations that the cable analysis showed weakness in the dialogue between the results achieved and the theoretical framework adopted by them. Furthermore, considerations of these allow researchers indicate that the relationship between reading and technology is established with the main elements of the Internet, cyberspace and hypertext especially this last element.

A presença da cultura letrada na sociedade contemporânea em conjunto com a popularização de aparelhos tecnológicos capazes de conectarem seus usuários a textos por meio da internet, maior expoente das TDIC, reforça o argumento de que a educação não pode se furtar em integrar o ensino da leitura à tecnologia. Nesse sentido, muitas pesquisas acadêmicas analisam a relação entre leitura e tecnologia. Considerando a delimitação desse objeto à leitura de textos escritos e as TDIC, o objetivo geral desta dissertação é o de analisar nas pesquisas acadêmicas, em que o objeto de discussão seja leitura e tecnologia, o diálogo entre o referencial teórico adotado por elas e esse objeto. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, pela perspectiva teórico-metodológica da teoria da linguagem de Bakhtin e seu Círculo e do materialismo histórico-dialético, busca-se discutir como os autores das pesquisas acadêmicas, que têm como objeto a leitura e a tecnologia, discutem-no com o referencial teórico adotado para a sua abordagem. Conforme os critérios de pertencimento do objeto à pesquisa foram selecionadas para análise quatro dissertações de mestrado, que ao cabo da análise apresentaram fragilidade no diálogo entre os resultados alcançados e o referencial teórico adotado por elas.
