Resumo: This research intended to investigate the pedagogical practices developed in the class room daily, related to History teaching in the final grade of Cycle 1 of Elementary School (4th grade/5th year), seeking to identify the contradictions, progress and recoils permeating the History teaching, allowing the expansion of the sight over the thematic in question, related to the students submitted to this teaching. Also allowed the analysis of viabilization of a new proposition for the History teaching based on National Curricular Parameters (NCP). The information collection procedures were performed using questionnaires, the systematic observation by the researcher over the student performance during History classes and documentary analysis, with the intention of analyze the link between theory and practice. The History teaching is a way to improve the knowledge in such a way that allows to live, experience, create, recreate and problematize the knowledge produced by humanity, developing abilities and skills in order to interfering over reality and modify it through comprehension of the permanencies and changes, similarities and differences, universalities and singularities, contextualization and signification, collective and individual, using the time and space multiplicity, allowing build the citizen those we want so much: participatory, committed, responsible, critical, autonomous.

Possibilitou também, a análise da viabilização da nova proposta para o ensino de História pautada nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs). Os procedimentos de coleta de informações foram obtidos através de questionários, a observação sistemática pelo pesquisador sobre a atuação docente durante suas aulas de História e análise documental, com o intuito de analisar a relação teoria e prática. O ensino de História é um meio para apropriarmos do conhecimento de forma que possibilite vivenciar, experimentar, criar, recriar, problematizar o conhecimento produzido pela humanidade, desenvolvendo habilidades e competências para intervir na realidade e transformá-la, através da compreensão das permanências e mudanças, semelhanças e diferenças, universalidade e singularidade, contextualização e significação, coletivo e individual, fazendo uso da multiplicidade de tempo e de espaço, possibilitando construir o cidadão que tanto queremos: participativo, compromissado, responsável, crítico, autônomo.Made available in DSpace on 2016-01-26T18:49:39Z (GMT).
