Resumo: | With the evolution of communication, and technological advancements, digital social networks became part of the interrelationship between people, allowing them to express themselves and to be present, even if at a distance. It’s possible for a group of people that shares specific interests, to interact and, how this relationship evolves depends on the choice of platform regarding its resources and limitations available like text, photos, videos, etc. In this research, we propose to take a look at a part of the motorsport community, particularly the Formula 1 category, minding their interactions and its range, and also if any oscillation had occurred between 2019 and 2020 (periods before, during and “after” the COVID-19 pandemic) within the sport’ s followers’ reactions during the races using the work of authors and theorists like Pierre Lévy, Lúcia Santaella and Lev Manovich. The Twitter platform was selected for its immediacy, an essential factor for real-time reactions and interactions during the broadcasts, and for being an open and free social network, meaning, it’s accessible and public. The parameter used to segment the posts was hashtags posted in the official broadcasts. |

The parameter used to segment the posts was hashtags posted in the official broadcasts.
