Resumo: | The goal of this research is to establish a possible relation between the myth of the Greek goddess Levana and the educator's function in the current days. For this purpose, a general view of what would be the function of every myth will be provided. As an example, the mains myths (Greek mythology, which will be addressed in this article) will be told and correlated to worries and current scenarios. Also, some myths of creation will be presented, in order to clarify the rising of these gods and even the creation of the world from the Roman classical point of view. An important point is the presentation of Levana and her ritual, as well as her social function. Levana is a goddess with many personalities, some of them go as far as opposing the others and this will be explored along the article. After the first chapter, the article will lead to education. Just like it happened with the explanation about the Greek mythology, the education (the Brazilian education, which is also the subject in the article) will be studied from its most different hystorical moments, achievements and scholars. Therefore, the National Plan of Teachers Training, proposed by the Ministry of Education will be presented. It contains the main points socially expected from a teacher - which will be a strong base to relate these expectations to Levana's entity. |

Para isso, a princípio será apresentada uma visão geral do que seriam as funções dos mitos. Para exemplificar, os principais mitos (da mitologia grega, por ser a estudada nessa dissertação) serão contados e correlacionado a preocupações e cenários atuais. Também serão expostos mitos de criação, que podem elucidar melhor o surgimento de alguns deuses e do próprio mundo segundo a visão romana clássica. O foco será a apresentação de Levana e seu ritual, assim como a sua função social. Levana é uma deusa com várias facetas, quase opostas entre si, e isso será explorado durante o trabalho. Após este primeiro momento, a dissertação se voltará para Educação. Assim como aconteceu com a explicação acerca da mitologia grega, a educação (brasileira, pois é o recorte dessa dissertação) será esmiuçada a partir de seus diferentes momentos históricos, conquistas e pensadores. Assim, chegaremos ao Plano Nacional de Formação de Educadores, proposto pelo Ministério da Educação.
