Resumo: The present research seeks to understand the impacts of the adoption of sustainability assumptions in the construction of the building for the store design's development, in order to clarify its possible contributions to society, by the diffusion of a way of life and consumption that meets the needs communities, without prejudice to the fact that future generations will take care of theirs, that is, in a sustainable way. In order to do this, a deepening is carried out in the study of criteria that guide the development of projects based on such principles, based on the evaluation and certification systems of sustainable construction performance and the study of the types of certification of buildings with low environmental impact , applied in Brazil to the retail sector. In addition, the analysis of two case studies is carried out, the first of which is a store for a Brazilian clothing retail company, located in Rio de Janeiro, certified in Gold by LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environment Design and the second of a cosmetic shop and spa, located in the Jardins neighborhood in São Paulo, which is certified by the Ska Rating label, in order to verify the solutions adopted and developed to meet each criterion studied and the objectives established for sustainable performance of the building. The results of this work contribute to the deepening of the research of buildings for the retail sector, demonstrating the relevance in the decision making of the architect in the premises of the project, especially those focused on sustainability

The results of this work contribute to the deepening of the research of buildings for the retail sector, demonstrating the relevance in the decision making of the architect in the premises of the project, especially those focused on sustainabilityA presente pesquisa busca compreender os impactos da adoção de premissas de sustentabilidade na construção do edifício para a formação do ponto de vendas comercial, a fim de esclarecer suas possíveis contribuições para a sociedade, pela difusão de um modo de vida e consumo que não prejudique o atendimento das necessidades das gerações futuras, garantindo as condições básicas das comunidades atuais, ou seja, de forma sustentável. Para isso, é realizado aprofundamento no estudo de critérios que norteiam o desenvolvimento de projetos, fundamentados em tais princípios, tendo como referência o que é adotado pelos sistemas de avaliação e certificação de desempenho sustentável da construção e o estudo dos tipos de certificação de edifícios de baixo impacto ambiental, aplicados no Brasil para o setor do varejo. Além disso, é realizada a análise de dois estudos de caso, sendo o primeiro de uma loja para empresa de varejo de vestuário brasileira, situada na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, certificada em nível Gold pelo sistema LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environment Design e o segundo de uma loja de cosméticos e spa, situada no bairro de Jardins na cidade de São Paulo, que possui certificação nível Piloto pelo selo Ska Rating, de forma a verificar as soluções adotadas e desenvolvidas para atendimento de cada critério estudado e dos objetivos estabelecidos para o desempenho sustentável do edifício.
