Educação ambiental por caminhos não-formais: uma incursão pela floresta estadual de Avaré - SP

The research which originated this paper had as its goal to take a Group of students and their teachers from two Primary education Schools to get to know the nature interpretation program and from this, evaluate its efficiency in them, concerning the Environmental education. Following the same pattern, some educational activities were developed making use of art. The paper theory´s laboration requested a research in the literature including several aspects of the Environmental education which comprised its contextualization in History, Art, Culture and the characterization of Avaré´s forest (SP), with its programs and characteristics of use. It was taken a research funding, with the participation of the fifth grade students and teachers from the public and private teaching as well as an activity, in which were produced work of arts with objects from nature, suggested by the artist Frans Krajcberg. Making use of the qualitative methodology of case study type, questionnaires and interviews were put into practice by students and teachers whose obtained answers were dealt with the content analysis technique according to Bardin (1977). It was testified that in the nature subprogram interpretation until then weren´t perceived any artistic activities. However, by the results obtained with the experience with students and teacher, it follows that art can stimulate knowledgement and show a methodologic innovation to the refered subprogram. The results even show that the sensibilization and awareness of the students to the Environmental matters can become even more efficient with the usage of artistic activities. It follows that the incursion of Avaré State forest might enable behavior and attitudes changes towards nature and being an authentic extention of the classroom, where it is possible to develop group activities of Environmental education.
