Resumo: The production of residential buildings of Artacho Jurado in the city of São Paulo in the early 1950s is the main objective of this research that intends to discuss the characteristics of its projects, in the context of the São Paulo metropolitanization process. From this point of view, the question of the beginning of verticalization in the city of São Paulo, until the 1950s, was highlighted, where we had the emergence of the figure of the developer alongside European immigrant architects, important architecture offices in São Paulo and construction companies. Considering the historical context and the professional origin of Artacho, he proposes the understanding of his works for the architectural and market bias, identifying the peculiarities of his works, and influences that guided his production.

A partir disso ganha destaque a questão do início da verticalização na cidade da São Paulo até a década de 1950, quando surgiu a figura do incorporador ao lado de arquitetos imigrantes europeus, importantes escritórios de arquitetura em São Paulo e construtoras.
