This thesis aimed to analyze the farmers' learning processes linked to agricultural branch of cooperatives in the state of Mato Grosso based on the theories of informal learning in the workplace and social learning. Through a basic qualitative research interpretive perspective, it sought to characterize the context in which the learning processes of producers occur, identifying the significant elements of learning for them and the possible differences in the face of individual characteristics, cooperative and context. The participants were employees and farmers in two agricultural cooperatives Middle-north of Mato Grosso. Both cooperatives add a small number of cooperative members as the ability to provision of each service. It was observed that the cooperative linked to the cooperative studied, although they scale to work individually, seek the cooperative space of exchange of knowledge and enhancement of managerial aspects of the business itself. The data built during the survey were categorized indicating the existence of three different stages in the learning process of these producers. Learning early career focused primarily on the operational aspects of the profession and the processes of adaptation to regional peculiarities, the family is one of the main sources of learning. In full career, the focus of interest of the learning processes of the producers turn to relations with the external environment to the business itself, as market knowledge and public policy and managerial aspects of the internal relations. Learning producers after joining the cooperative had an improvement of character of technical and managerial issues. The exchange of experiences led some producers increase the own business professionalization process taking as parameter the experiences of others. Moreover, the experience of building a new cooperative model and participate in its decisions is presented as a kind of meaningful knowledge for producers. No significant differences were observed in the processes of learning between producers of the two studied cooperatives.
