Resumo: | Errors in health assistance can be avoided with the implementation of more effective professional practices, teamwork improvement, enhancement of professional techniques of nursing teams and increased satisfaction with the teamwork. When carrying out interdependent tasks, sharing objectives, maintaining and managing their borders in a hospital institution, nursing teams act and reflect characterizing the group learning behaviors. As the group processes are considered the main determinants of the effectiveness of the nursing teams, the aim of this research is to empirically evaluate the group learning behaviors as mediators of the relationship between the positive and negative stimuli, readiness for group learning and psychological safety with the atisfaction with work in group in the meso level of analysis. For the appropriate evaluation, it was conceptually redefined stimuli constructs and readiness for the group learning and factors: positive and negative stimuli for group learning. Participated in the study, 87 nursing teams (nurses, technicians and nursing assistants) with three to twelve members. The groups which had values below 4 in the task interdependence scale (1 to 7) were excluded from analysis. Later, the data were aggregated at the team level and analyzed using structural equation modeling with partial least squares estimation (Partial Least Squares - Path Modeling). The results confirmed the prediction: a) of the readiness for group learning in the group learning behaviors and, b) of the group learning behaviors and the psychological security in satisfaction with the teamwork. The size of the team showed negatively impact on the group learning behaviors. The moderating effects of readiness for group learning and psychological security in relations between the positive and negative stimuli for learning and group learning behaviors have not been confirmed. |
