In this dissertation, the teaching of astronomy is addressed, highlighting the life cycle of a star. For this, an introduction to the study of topics such as nebula, solar system and star was made. The importance of inserting and choosing potentially significant materials is presented, where their use favors the development of the teaching-learning process in teaching activities. The theoretical framework in pedagogical activities was based on the significant learning of David Ausubel. It is also described, all the stages of the teaching process, application and elaboration of probing tests, raising the student’s previous knowledge, as well as the analysis and discussion of the results obtained in the applied tests. It describes the elaboration and application of an educational product directed to the teaching of astronomy that consists of a board game, Via Solare, specifically a track board game, where all its path is applied to the astronomical topics covered in the classroom activities. This educational product was applied at the Padre Guedes High School Reference School (EREM), located in the city of Vicência (PE). The target audience for the activities was second year high school students. This taking of actions such as the survey of students' previous knowledge, passing through the use of potentially significant materials and the application of an educational product, show that the data collected in this proposed activity of teaching astronomy with the use of the trail, present results that favor learning significant of students.
