A adolescência e a medida socioeducativa de semiliberdade : reflexões sobre o cotidiano e a sociedade de consumo

Studies show the high number of adolescents undergoing institutionalization in Brazil, especially the northeast region. In the state of Pernambuco in 2017, 8,861 adolescents were involved in infractions and in compliance with socio-educational measures. In Recife and the Metropolitan Region there were 1,362 assisted in compliance with the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom - a measure that is justified by its character of partial curtailment of freedom. Within the socio-educational system there is a ban on the use of products of certain brands by adolescents. However, despite the ban, research shows that the consumption of these products and the desire of adolescents to own them is recurrent. Thus emerging as a research problem, how does the relationship of adolescence in compliance with socio-educational measure of semi-freedom with the consumer society? Which is answered from two perspectives, the professionals of the multidisciplinary technical team and adolescents in semi-freedom. In order to understand this problem, this study aims to analyze the relationship of adolescence in compliance with socio-educational measure of semi-freedom with the consumer society. And specifically categorize the daily compliance with the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom of the technical team and adolescents; characterize the technical team and the adolescents in compliance with the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom; analyze the trajectory of adolescents in compliance with the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom that intersects with consumer culture from the adolescents' speech; and to understand the discourses that permeate the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom in its interface with the consumer society from what was exposed by the technical team and adolescents. This is a qualitative approach research that as a data collection technique was used the interview with application of semi-structured script, conducted with 8 professionals of the multidisciplinary technical team and 4 adolescents in compliance with socio-educational measure of semi-freedom in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. The researcher concomitantly with the interviews, followed the daily activities of the semi-freedom institutions from September to October 2018. Subsequently, the data analysis was performed based on the references raised and the Eni Orlandi Discourse Analysis ([1999 ] 2015). As a result of the research it emerged that the discourses based on consumption are signified by the characterization of adolescents and not by being in compliance with the socio-educational measure of semi-freedom. What will characterize this adolescent is his inability to mobilize the institutions of protection, promotion and guarantee of rights. Thus, the use of specific brands reveals not only the symbolic dimension of consumption guided by adolescents, imbued with issues of belonging, but, above all, the condition of social class.
