The theme of this thesis are the transdisciplinary educational processes of Youth Participation Institute (Instituto de Protagonismo Juvenil - IPJ) and its relation to the construction of identities. The problem with this thesis is based on the following question materializes proposition transdisciplinary educational processes IPJ is fundamental in the construction of multiple identity traits in Surubim youth, more precisely the youth participating in the IPJ? In this sense, the main objective is to investigate, through theoretical and empirical research, transdisciplinary educational processes of the IPJ and their contributions to the construction of identities of youth in Surubim. The assumption we make is that from educational practices that take into account the different levels of realities of the subject, its complexity and the third term included - pillars of transdisciplinarity - can contribute to the construction of transitional, changing, contradictory and flexible identities. This research is based on the following theoretical frameworks: transdisciplinary studies, studies of identities on youth and on education processes. To support our arguments regarding transdisciplinary (field), we will use the studies of Nicolescu (1999, 2000), of Morin (2011, 2014), of Moraes (2010, 2015) and Ferreira (2007). Regarding the concept of identity, we will make use of research conducted by Bauman (2005), Hall (2014) and Woodward (2014). Regarding the conceptualization of youth, we will use the study of Abramo (1994, 2005), of Foracchi (1972), of Martin-Barbero (2008) and Kehl (2004). In terms of educational processes we will use the works of Zabala (1998) and Sacristan & Gómez (1998). The methodology is the ethnography, therefore we selected three methodological procedures that are in line with this proposal, namely: analysis of official documents of the IPJ; conducting an interview with the Council Director of the IPJ and organizing and conducting conversation rounds with young people. The bodies of work analyzed consists of official documents of the IPJ, transcripts, video and audio recordings of interviews and conversation rounds. The subjects involved in the collection of empirical data are young, participating or not in activities carried out by the IPJ, and are residents of Surubim/PE. Among the findings, it is clear that the IPJ, in addition to its importance in the individual and collective negotiations youth and issues related to youth, has, in pedagogical terms, transdisciplinarity as an approach and such evidence leads us to the conclusion that the youth of Surubim, participants IPJ, could reflect on issues which only a transdisciplinary approach enables and allows, which helps in the construction of multiple identities.
