The work was led aiming at to evaluate the replacement of the wheat bran (WB) for the pie of babassu (PB), in the levels of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%, in the feeding of cows lactating. The diets isoproteicas, consisted of sorghum silage and grass elephant, soy bran, wheat bran and / or pie of babassu and mineral mixture, supplied in total mixture. Five cows crossbred Holstein x Zebu were used, with 350 kg of LW and medium production of 10,0 kg/milk/day, distributed in a Latin Square 5x5. The intake of dry matter (DM), ether extract (EE), crude protein (CP), total carbohydrates (TC), acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), the milk yield (MY), milk yield correct to 4% of fat (MYCF), fat level (FL), density (D), cryoscopy (C), total dry extract (TDE) and deffated dry extract (DDE) were not influenced by the replacement of wheat bran by pie babassu. The intake of non fiber carbohydrates (NFC) presented negative lineal behavior for the levels of PB in diets. It is conclude that the replacement of wheat bran by pie of babassu in meet of dairy cows, didn’t change the milk production, presented better cost-benefit relation.
