This research presents the articulation between different fields of knowledge: psychoanalysis, law, mental health and philosophy. We start from the point that the work on mental health area is eminently clinical and we problematize the difficulty of theorizing a clinic that supports intersectoral actions. To do so, we raise some observations about the notions of clinic and subject present in this area, with particular emphasis on the notion of subject of rights. We discuss some formulations of the philosopher Giorgio Agamben to sustain the insufficiency of this concept as a support of the Extended Clinic. We indicate the constant risk suffered by the mental health professional when the subject and his desire are suppressed, exerting subtle forms of power on this subject, especially when anchored exclusively in the discourse of law. We introduce in this discussion the clinical conception of psychoanalysis, which subverts the traditional ways of managing power by anchoring itself in an ethical position.
