Resumo: Adoption is a legal procedure that attributes the status of biological child to the adoptee, with all the rights and duties, including inheritance, legally disconnecting him from the bond with the biological parents, except for marriage impediments. In Brazil, the Child and Adolescent Statute establishes that applicants for adoption undergo psychosocial assessment and legal preparation by the Children and Juvenile Court technical staff, aiming to ensure the smooth progress of the adoption process. Notwithstanding those efforts, in her role as a judicial psychologist the researcher has encountered that in some cases adopters do return adoptees to public authorities. On the one hand, for the child that experience tends to constitute a painful mark that recalls and reiterates the primary experience of abandonment by biological parents. On the other hand, it may be seen as the result of the adoptive parents’ the lack of elaboration of the unconscious reasons that determined the adoption and came to negatively influence parent-child bonding. However, there is a scarcity of Jungian studies on such motivations. Therefore, the present study aimed at understanding, from the perspective of Analytical Psychology, the motivations of applicants for adoption registered in the Brazilian National System of Adoption (SNA), thus contributing to the work of judicial psychologists in their efforts to help establish a successful parent-child bonding. Five heterosexual couples, legally married and registered in the SNA, between 29 and 49 years of age, participated in the qualitative research, characteristics that are prevalent in the largest group of applicants registered with the SNA. The instruments used were: sociodemographic questionnaire, semi-open interview and drawing, as an expressive technique. The content of the reports and drawings were analyzed in order to identify common themes and symbolic aspects involved. The following motivations for adoption were found: desire to form a family; desire to exercise paternity/motherhood; desire to have a child. Infertility, in this research, emerged as a path to adoption. The analysis of participants' reports and drawings from the perspective of analytical psychology suggests that the constellated archetypes were as follows: family, mother, father and divine child

Infertility, in this research, emerged as a path to adoption. The analysis of participants' reports and drawings from the perspective of analytical psychology suggests that the constellated archetypes were as follows: family, mother, father and divine childA adoção é um procedimento legal que atribui a condição de filho ao adotado, com todos os direitos e deveres, inclusive sucessórios, desligando-o legalmente do vínculo com os pais biológicos, exceto os impedimentos matrimoniais. No Brasil, o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) estabelece que os pretendentes à adoção passem por uma preparação psicossocial e jurídica, orientada pela equipe técnica da Vara da Infância e da Juventude do Poder Judiciário, visando garantir o bom desenrolar do processo de adoção. A despeito desses cuidados, a pesquisadora tem se deparado, em sua atuação como psicóloga judiciária, com o fato de crianças e adolescentes serem devolvidos por seus adotantes ao poder público. Tal experiência, de um lado, tende a constituir, para a criança, uma marca dolorosa que rememora e reitera a primária vivência de abandono pelos pais biológicos. De outro lado, seria o resultado da falta de elaboração, por parte dos pais adotivos, dos motivos que, inconscientemente, determinaram a adoção e que vieram a influenciar negativamente a formação do vínculo com a criança. Há, todavia, uma escassez de estudos no campo junguiano que contribuam para aprimorar a investigação sobre tais motivações. O objetivo deste trabalho foi, portanto, compreender, à luz da psicologia analítica, as motivações de pretendentes à adoção que estejam inseridos no Sistema Nacional de Adoção e Acolhimento (SNA). Intentou-se melhor instrumentalizar a prática do psicólogo judiciário que atua assessorando o processo de habilitação para adoção, de maneira a contribuir para que sejam estabelecidos os vínculos necessários para o bem-suceder do processo. Participaram da pesquisa de natureza qualitativa cinco casais heterossexuais, casados civilmente e inseridos no SNA, entre 29 e 49 anos de idade, características essas prevalentes no maior grupo de pretendentes cadastrados no SNA. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: questionário sociodemográfico, entrevista semiaberta e o desenho, como técnica expressiva. O conteúdo dos relatos e dos desenhos foram analisados de maneira a identificar os temas comuns e os aspectos simbólicos envolvidos. As seguintes motivações para a adoção foram encontradas: desejo de formar uma família; desejo de exercer a paternidade/maternidade; desejo de ter filho. A infertilidade, nesta pesquisa, surgiu como um caminho para a adoção. A análise do relato e dos desenhos dos participantes a partir da perspectiva da psicologia analítica sugere que os arquétipos constelados foram os seguintes: da família, materno, paterno e da criança divinaCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/53662/Jana%c3%adna%20Ramalho%20Ferraz%20Pereira%20de%20Souza.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Psicologia: Psicologia ClínicaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Humanas e da SaúdeAdoção - Aspectos psicológicosMotivação (Psicologia)Psicologia junguianaAdoption - Psychological aspectsMotivation (Psychology)Jungian psychologyCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIAUma leitura junguiana sobre as motivações de casais pretendentes à adoçãoA Jungian approach on the motivations of couples seeking adoptioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTJanaína Ramalho Ferraz Pereira de Souza.pdf.txtJanaína Ramalho Ferraz Pereira de Souza.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain290217https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23624/4/Jana%c3%adna%20Ramalho%20Ferraz%20Pereira%20de%20Souza.pdf.txt77fdcd114446c1aead2b1537cab64cb7MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
