Resumo: The work addresses the problem of housing conditions and health problems that affect the lives of many Brazilians displaced to the fringes of the periphery, where they face not only the process of social exclusion, but also prostrate themselves in the face of vulnerability and the risk of survival in relatively unhealthy and unsafe areas. In this context, the objective is to make an explanation of the relationship between precarious housing and the high incidence of disease cases where issues related to the quality of life of the urban population and their environment, framed from the perspective of healthy cities. Have been widely discussed from the growth of cities and the emergence of urban environmental problems, requiring not only government action with effective public policies, but also action by new agents who should be part of movements for decent housing in order to minimize this problem

Neste contexto, objetiva-se fazer uma explanação da relação entre as moradias precárias com a alta incidência de casos de doenças onde as questões relativas à qualidade de vida da população urbana e ao seu ambiente, enquadradas na perspectiva das cidades saudáveis.
