Resumo: In this work a survey was conducted that applied a diagnostic evaluation, which aimed to investigate the notion of time of 26 children between 9 and 11 years, attending the 5th grade of elementary school in the years 2015 and 2016 in two schools in the network private schools in the metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro. The choice of this type of research tool aimed at observing how is the construction and the operating area of the notion of time in children through activities that had the notions of order or succession, duration and simultaneity. It is noteworthy that the notion of children's time has reference to the time spent by the child. The lead author of this study was Piaget. Therefore, it is essential and important work of time notion with children's elementary school, since it allows the student the time domain and space lived in the present, leading to the historical understanding of other times significantly.

Therefore, it is essential and important work of time notion with children's elementary school, since it allows the student the time domain and space lived in the present, leading to the historical understanding of other times significantly.Neste trabalho foi realizada uma pesquisa que aplicou uma avaliação diagnóstica, que objetivou investigar a noção de tempo de 26 crianças, entre 9 e 11 anos, cursando o 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental, nos anos de 2015 e 2016, em 2 escolas, na rede privada de ensino na região metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. A escolha desse tipo de instrumento de pesquisa visou observar como ocorre a construção e o domínio operatório da noção de tempo em crianças por meio de atividades que apresentavam as noções de ordem ou sucessão, de duração ou simultaneidade. Vale ressaltar que a noção de tempo infantil tem como referência o tempo vivido pela criança. O principal autor de nosso estudo foi Piaget.
