The work in question is the result of a search that came from curiosity of the research group Curriculum, educational networks and images of the images laboratory of the educational college of the Rio de Janeiro State University, This research aims to answer the question: Why schools don t appear in westerns movies? The research way went through several areas: U. S History, with Susan-Mary Grabt (2014) and Leandro karnal (2015); the literature and the travel accounts with Dee Brown (2014) and Tocqueville (2010); the History of the cinema with that industry professionals like Philip Kemp (2011), Mark Cousins (2013) and André Bazin (2014). In academic field these research included Walter Benjamin (2012), Deleuze e Guatarri (1992), Marc Ferro (1995), Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2010) e Nilda Alves (2008). With respect movies, was watched a total of the ninety movies between a general amount of one hundred sixty-two films. They were selected for analysis nine of them. The work approach is inside the issues of the major search project, intitled: Networking educational, cultural flows and teaching - the case of films, images in it and sounds ; American indian epistemicide under the historical and filmografic views through the chosem filmmakers, are they: Henry King and Irving Cummings (1939); David Miller and Frank Borzage (1941). John Ford (1946/1950/1956/1962) and Antony Mann (1952). Expanding the network of knowledge meannings, I talked about the power of the cinema on the human perceptions with Benjamim (2012). Within this perspective, the use that I made In this work, is second Certeau (2013) theories, and I follow the Deleuze logic about conceptual assumptions this concept analized at work Finally, the research is summarized in the work with movies mixing with what don t movies History, Philisophy and Education but that are part of the context that served to produce film, and today, serve us to respond the research question. These research, actually, serves to pay attention to cinema like an instrument and the possibility in use it, for the production scientific knowledge
