In online courses, in virtual learning environments, the forum interface is considered the space with the greatest interaction potential among the participants, allowing discussion, dialogues and informations haring, asynchronously. However, the traditional paradigm of teacher-center education is a relevant factor to be considered when thinking about education al practices in forums, since there are difficulties for the disruption of this model. So, this work has as main objective to build a manual about online forums saiming to contribute with the quality of the educational practices in this interface. The study is characterized as a methodological development with quantitative-qualitative approach, presenting the stages of development and validation. The Manual was developed in the format of a digital book, it had the differentiated Summary giving access to the chapters in a non-linear way. And composed by the chapters: What is the discussion forum? Planning: student orientation; Stimulating discussions; Technical questions; Interactivity and Interaction; Collaborative learning; Online moderation; and Forum evaluation. In this material, the authors used textual, visual and audiovisual language. In the validation, the data collection was performed through questionnaires, adopting the Likert scale. The analys is was performed considering the index of agreement 80% of the answers, taking as reference other studies, according to Nascimento (2012).
