The objective of this paper is to study and to discuss the ways that young professionals actually construct their own trajectories, narratives and projects of life considering the new configurations the work is assuming nowadays. With the purpose to achieve new conclusions about this theme, beyond the theoretical and bibliographical survey, a field reference research was done. The theoretical and bibliographical references were developed around three main categories which involve this content and all of its issues unfolded: the actual scenario, work and youth. From this point of view, the subject and subjectivity are understood as cultural and social productions, multiple ways of being in the world that emerge inside specific historical contexts. The professional life is assumed as privileged instance of social insertion and, therefore, as an important component that contributes to subjectivity productions. The professional career has a fundamental role in creations of life project of the youth as it makes possible a consistent development of trajectories and narratives. Because of the multiple and heterogeneous character oh the youth, a sample of this universe in order to accomplishment the field research was set up, among trainees between 21 and 26 years from middle and high social and economical classes, living in Rio de Janeiro and working in a private company located in this area. Qualitative research though individual interviews was the methodological tool that originated the analysis of the results based on the concepts of the discourse analysis. The main results show that the youth life project carry many characteristics inherent to the contemporary context and the ways the work is actually configured: ideas of flexibility, changes, acceleration, constant movement and flexibility to new realities. There are multiple life projects characterized by the movement and by the idea that nobody can be steady or in a slow motion. These young people trajectories of life are distinguished with actions, movements and an enormous commitment with themselves. The projects have individual characteristics without any integration with collective interests. In a general way, it can be observed that these projects are attempts of adaptation to the complex current scene which seem to emerge strong individual ways of being in the world
