Currently the majority of the experiences young people have with the new technologies happen outside the school. They learn how to use digital media by exploring, experimenting, playing, cooperating with others and from tutorials. Seizing, in a spontaneous manner, the technology using the same strategies they apply to learn other elements from their universe of socialization. Faced with this scenario, it is important to identify how the teachers use digital technologies considering this new perspective of the world, what is the frequency of use of these devices in the school environment and in what way they affect the teacher-student relation. Based on quantitative and qualitative studies led during this research, the objective is to know and comprehend the reality of the teachers from two urban schools and two rural ones, the procedures adopted by them to connect with the students, what are the impacts in teaching and learning, and the relation with the school community. Moreover, in what manner educommunicative concepts aided by the project of Educommunication, put in practice in these four state schools, help the teachers find and point to paths that stimulate the development of the critical spirit and the creative use by the youngsters in the usage of digital technologies.
