Neste sentido, percebe-se que um dos meios de tornar a aprendizagem – em especial a que envolve conceitos ambientais – significativa é quando se é possível flexibilizá-la. Isto pode auxiliar na formação dos alunos, de modo que se tornem cidadãos críticos e atuantes na sociedade e ambiente de modo efetivo. Hoje, observase que os alunos ingressantes na Educação Básica têm grande afinidade com tecnologias digitais e, por isso, são tão receptivos às inovações tecnológicas. Assim, a aplicação de ferramentas tecnológicas que estimulem a capacidade cognitiva do estudante, de maneira a explorar seu conhecimento prévio e permitir a flexibilização do conhecimento, faz-se uma excelente oportunidade para a promoção do ensino crítico das ciências, mais especificamente, do conhecimento ambiental. Nesta direção, a presente pesquisa tem por objetivo produzir uma Flexquest para o estudo da água na Educação Básica, com base nos princípios da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica e da Teoria da Flexibilidade Cognitiva. Flexquest é uma estratégia que utiliza links da web para mostrar aos estudantes-alvo os diversos cenários e perspectivas onde uma determinada temática pode ser encontrada, causando no aprendiz desconstruções e reconstruções do conhecimento acerca daquele tema. A Flexquest produzida é denominada “Flex-água” e, na sua construção, foram incorporados elementos promotores de uma aprendizagem potencialmente significativa e crítica. Para a validação da Flex-água, foi feita uma análise de mapas conceituais produzidos por estudantes do 3º ano do Ensino Médio antes e após uma sequência didática envolvendo a ferramenta. A análise dos conceitos ancorados pelos aprendizes via mapa conceitual mostrou fortes indícios de uma aprendizagem significativa em curso, pois foi possível identificar vários elementos da Flex-água que especificaram ou modificaram os conceitos que estavam estabilizados na estrutura cognitiva dos estudantes, configurando a estratégia como um elemento didático eficaz para o ensino das Ciências Ambientais.The teaching of the environmental sciences requires different tools and pedagogical practices to promote meaningful learning. In this sense, it is perceived that learning, especially that involving environmental concepts, becomes meaningful when it is possible to make it more flexible, making students critical and active in society and the environment in an effective way. Today, it is observed that students entering secoundary education are digital residents and, therefore, are so receptive to technological innovations. Thus, the application of technological didactic tools that stimulate the cognitive capacity of the student, in order to explore their previous knowledge and to allow knowledge flexibility, is an excellent opportunity for the promotion of critical education of the sciences, more specifically knowledge environmental. In this direction, the present research aims to produce a Flexquest strategy for the study of water in basic education, based on the principles of Critical Meaningful Learning Theory and Cognitive Flexibility Theory. Flexquest is a strategy that uses web links to show the students the different scenarios and perspectives where a particular theme can be found, causing in the apprentice deconstructions, reconstructions and reassimilations of the knowledge about that theme. The Flexquest produced is called "Flexágua" and, in its construction, elements that promote a potentially significant and critical learning have been incorporated. For the validation of Flex-água an analysis of conceptual maps produced by students of the 3rd year of high school was done before and after a didactic sequence involving the tool.
