Resumo: The present work has as its theme the strategic management of people in a public university, the case study of the Federal University of Pampa. A case study was carried out with a qualitative approach, in which was analyzed the data collected from a semi-structured questionnaire with open-ended and closed-ended questions applied via Google Forms in the second week of July 2021. The study had 12 participants working in the People Management area at Unipampa. The general objective of this research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of Strategic People Management at the Federal University of Pampa from the perception of public servants. The specific objectives aim to map the strategic alignment points in the strategic management practices of people at Unipampa, in addition to identifying aspects in convergence with the purposes of the strategic planning of people at UNIPAMPA. The results obtained from the case study showed indications of potential adjustments in the people management system within the Unipampa campuses. Evidences were identified that point towards the lack of alignment between the perception of public servants and the objectives projected in Unipampa's Institutional Development Plan. Finally, the present research keeps the theme open, proposing that, in the future, a new research is carried out with the purpose of updating or contextualizing the points that were discussed here. It is also proposed to carry out a new case study, with the purpose of creating a program to improve the development of activities in the people management sector within the scope of Unipampa.

O estudo contou com 12 participantes atuantes na área de Gestão de Pessoas da Unipampa. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa busca analisar a eficácia da aplicação de Gestão Estratégica de Pessoas na Universidade Federal do Pampa a partir da percepção dos servidores. Os objetivos específicos buscam mapear os pontos de alinhamento estratégico nas práticas de gestão estratégica de pessoas na Unipampa, além de identificar aspectos em convergência com os propósitos do planejamento estratégico de pessoas na UNIPAMPA. Os resultados obtidos a partir do estudo de caso apresentaram indicativos de ajustes potenciais do sistema de gerenciamento de pessoas dentro dos Campi da Unipampa. Foram identificadas evidências que apontam na direção da ausência de alinhamento entre a percepção dos servidores com os objetivos projetados no Plano de Desenvolvimento Institucional da Unipampa. Por fim, a presente pesquisa mantém o tema em aberto, propondo que, em um futuro, seja realizada uma nova pesquisa com a finalidade de atualizar ou de contextualizar os pontos que aqui foram abordados.
