Resumo: | Knowledge of the growth pattern of forage when grown under different spatial arrangements of trees can help define management goals more suitable for pasture in silivipastoril system. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the spatial arrangement of planting hybrid Eucalyptus grandis x E. urophylla (urograndis) on the establishment and growth pattern of Brachiaria decumbens (signal grass). We evaluated six arrangements of eucalyptus plantation intercropped with signal grass in a 2x3 factorial +1, corresponding to 2 spacings (2 and 4 m) between plants in the row and 3 row spacings planting (6, 8 and 10 m) and 1 control (signalgrass). Two experiments were conducted in the same area distinct experimental. In the first experiment, the signal grass was managed between 10 and 20 cm in height, which evaluated throughout the year 2011 the production of forage plant population density of tillers and blade: stem. The second trial began in October 2011, ie, concurrently with the first experiment, with the subdivision of the experimental units. In this second experiment the pasture was managed according to the criterion of 95% interception of photosynthetically active radiation, which we evaluated the morphogenesis, structural and production of signal grass. In general, the consortium of signal grass with eucalyptus decreased tiller density. Furthermore, when the forage was managed between 10 and 20 cm in height was reduced dry matter production of signal grass intercropped in the final third of the second year after planting eucalyptus, regardless of the arrangement of planting eucalyptus. On the other hand, when using the criterion of 95% of radiation interception, there was no difference in forage accumulation between 10 m spacing between rows and planting monoculture pasture until the 26th month of crop establishment. In this management strategy heights where the signal grass intercropped with eucalyptus intercepted 95% of photosynthetically active radiation were higher than monoculture, reaching the denser spacing (6x2) over 100% sward height in monoculture. |
