There is a considerable amount of methodologies for accomplishment of adaptability studies and stability. However, in the last 30 years, the method more thoroughly used in the adaptability analysis and stability is that of lineal regression. The study of the methodologies is important, because it allows evaluating the potential of the new methodologies in comparison with the classic ones, culminating in a strategic evaluation that it determines the focus of new researches, of new methodologies. In this work, it was had as objective to study the similarity between the methodologies of EBERHART and RUSSELL (1966), CROSS et al. (1989), SHEEP (1998) and CROSS (2005) in the recommendation of superior and inferior genotypes in four genotypes groups. A preliminary rehearsal of cultivates of corn of Embrapa Corn and sorgo was installed in the period of 2000/2001. In it, four genotypes groups were evaluated with relationship to the productivity: genotypes of the group A (hybrid of the group A), genotypes of the group B (hybrid of the group B), genotypes of the group C (hybrid of the group C) and genotypes of the group QPM (Hybrid of the group of high protein quality). In each one of those groups, were appraised twenty-three genotypes, added of two witness, in blocks to the maybe with two repetitions. Those rehearsals were led in the areas South, Southeast and Center - West of the country, in to total of sings to sleep places. In the State of Goiás, the groups were appraised in Goiânia and Goianésia. In São Paulo, Anhembi and Birigui. In the State of Minas Gerais, Janaúba, Paracatu, Seven Ponds Fertile and Seven Ponds Savannah. In Paraná, Londrina. In agreement with the results, the similarity of the methodologies prevailed in the recommendation of superior genotypes. In the general, the methodologies presented the same recommendation in the evaluation of the groups of appraised genotypes. In the inferior, the methodologies were similar, according in not indicating them to the appraised atmospheres. Therefore the genotypes discrimination with bass answer potential to the accomplished investments was similar in the methodologies, while according was shown in the evaluation of the genotypes with potential in cultivation with high technology, or even, in subsistence conditions. In any of those situations, it is important to know the potential of the methodologies.
