The main objective of this study is to analyze the participation and importance of the transferences done by the aged of the district of Teixeiras-MG to their respective families, to try to examine the perception of their importance in the family and social context, as well as the material and subjective repayment given to aged by their beneficiaries. The bases of this study are in the literature that approaches the fact of the economic crises has taken the aged to assume new papers in the family economy, aiding the other members of their family financially. Interviews were accomplished with aged of the referred district, through a semi-structured questionnaire, with questions regarding their financial participation in the family budget, the usefulness of their income for the other members of the family unit and consequently, the well-being of the families by the retirement benefit or from other sources of the aged's resources. The material and subjective compensation was researched as repayment destined to the aged. The analysis of the aged, between the aged and other family members constitutes important subsidy to justify the imminent need for new politics and inherent social programs to this public. More than 80% of the target population help their relative with money and other services (domestic and attendance), their relatives. However, more of than half of those aged never receive material aid from those who benefits. It is very important, in the aged's perception, to help their relatives with money. The group who was interviewed recognizes the importance of supplying financial aid to their relatives, and notices significant subjective repayment of their families, predominantly in form of affection, visits and taking them for a walk. The transferences of money and services rendered are causing an inversion of social papers. The aged are leaving the position of being attended and they are passing to be the family group providers of money and services, so that their presence brings a positive impact, contributing to the well-being of their families. It is pressing to look at the longevity of the Brazilian population and then consider deliberately subsidizing social programs according to that contingent of the population.
