Resumo: Two metabolic trials and one ileal digestibility trial were made with swine to determine nutrient digestibility, digestible energy (DE), apparent metabolizable energy (AME), nitrogen balance corrected AME (AMEn), digestibility coefficients of apparent and true ileal protein and amino acids of feedstuffs. In the first metabolic trial seven feedstuffs were evaluated to determine the energy content: corn, sorghum, millet, wheat flour, pasta resídue, cracker meal andbakery meal. In the second metabolic trial, five feedstuffs were evaluated: milk, powder partially skimmed, porcine blood plasma, soy protein concentrate, partially defatted extruded whole soybean and swine by-product meal. Total faeces collection (TFC) and acid insoluble ash (AIA) methods were used as indicator of indigestibility. Variation was observed in bromatological composition specially when takes into account the diversity of origin of these feedstuffs. No interaction treatments x methods was observed. Both methods provided similar values of DE, AME and AMEn. Among the feedstuffs with high energy content, was observed higher digestibility coeficient of dry matter (DCDM), organic matter (DCOM) andcrude protein (DCCP) to pasta residue. The wheat flourpresented the highest digestibility coefficients ofneutral detergente fiber (DCNDF) and acid detergent fiber (DCADF). The millet presented the lowest DCDM, DCOM, DCNDF e DCADF. The higher digestibility coefficient of crude fat was observed to bakery meal, of 90,43%. Among the feedstuffs with high protein content was observed lowest DCMS and DCOM to swine by-product meal, and the higher digestibility coefficient of crude protein was observed to porcine blood plasma, of 97,26%. In ileal digestibility trial were evaluated six feedstuffs with high energy content: cracker meal, wheat floor, pasta resídue, corn, bakery meal and broken rice and six feedstuffs with high protein content: milk casein, soy protein concentrate A, soy protein concentrate B, swine by-product meal, milkpowder partially skimmed and porcine blood plasma spray dried, using the technique of the simple T-canula and estimate the basal endogenous losses using N-free diet method. Among the feedstuffs with high energy content the coefficients of apparent (DCapCP) and true (DCvCP) ileal protein digestibility ranged from 69,05 to 83,60% and 86,01 to 94,90%, respectively. Among the feedstuffs with high protein content the DCapCP and DCvCP ranged from 62,04 to 86,29% and 70,64 to 96,12%,respectively. The mean of coefficients of apparent and true ileal essential amino acids (DCvEAA) and nonessential (DCapNEAA) amino acids digestibility to corn, were 88,35 and 87,49%, respectively. The mean of DCvEAA and DCvNEAA to porcine blood plasma were 94,93 and 91,31%, respectively. The bromatological composition, energy values and digestibility coeficientes of crude protein, ether extract, neutral detergent fibre, acid detergent fibre and digestible amino acid content from feedstuffs evaluated can be used like reference for the formulation of pig diets based in AMEn and digestible nutrients.
