Resumo: | Two experiments were conducted on the premises of the sector Poultry Animal Science in the Department of Agrarian Science Center of the Federal University of Viçosa -MG, the objective was establish the relationship of digestible valine with digestible lysine (Experiment I - Chapter I) and the relationship of digestible arginine with digestible lysine (Experiment II, Chapter II) for Japanese quail posture. In the first experiment, were used 245 Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) with 250 days of age after peak posture, body weight of 176 ± 3.5 g, distributed in a completely randomized design, with five treatments, seven repetitions and seven birds per experimental unit. Treatments consisted of a basal diet without supplementation of digestible valine (0.65%), with 16.8% crude protein and 2800 kcal metabolizable energy / kg, supplemented with five levels of L-valine (0.00, 0.051; 0.101, 0.152 and 0.202%) in substitution of glutamic acid at equivalent protein, corresponding to the relationship between digestible valine with digestible lysine of 0.65, 0.70, 0.75, 0.80 and 0.85, respectively, remained the rations isoproteic and isocaloric, being digestible lysine set at 1.00%. The variables studied were: feed intake (g / bird / day), egg production per bird day (%), egg production per bird housed (%), marketable egg production (%), egg weight (g) , egg mass (g / bird / day), feed conversion by egg mass (kg of feed / kg eggs), feed conversion per dozen eggs (kg of feed / dozen eggs), viability of birds (% ), variation in body weight (g), weight of components (g) and percentage of egg components (yolk, albumen and shell) and specific density (g/cm3). Observing a linear increase in the daily consumption of valine (P <0.01) and linear reduction in egg production / bird / day (P <0.01) and the production of eggs per bird housed (P <0.01) increased levels of digestible valine. For the other parameters we observed no significant effect (P> 0.05). Concluding that the ratio of digestible valine with digestible lysine of 0.65, equivalent to a daily intake of 168.4 mg of digestible valine, meeting the requirements for the production of Japanese quail. In the second experiment, were used 245 Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) with 250 days of age after peak posture, body weight of 181 ± 1.3 g, distributed in a completely randomized design with five treatments, seven replicates and seven birds per experimental unit. Treatments consisted of a basal diet without supplementation of digestible arginine (1.01%), with 17.55% crude protein and 2800 kcal metabolizable energy / kg, supplemented with five levels of L-arginine (0.000, 0.051, 0.101, 0.151 and 0.202%) in substitution of glutamic acid at equivalent protein, corresponding to the relationship between digestible arginine with digestible lysine of 1.01, 1.06, 1.11, 1.16 and 1.21, respectively, remained the rations isoproteic and isocaloric, being digestible lysine set at 1.00%. The variables studied were the same as those mentioned for the first experiment. The relations of digestible arginine with digestible lysine did not affect the evaluated variables, except for the daily intake of arginine observed linear increase (P <0.01) according increased levels of digestible arginine. Concluding that the ratio of digestible arginine with lysine digestible of 1.01, equivalent to a daily intake 259.1 mg of digestible arginine, meeting the requirements for the production of Japanese quail. |

Concluding that the ratio of digestible arginine with lysine digestible of 1.01, equivalent to a daily intake 259.1 mg of digestible arginine, meeting the requirements for the production of Japanese quail.
