Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the replacement of urea by soybean meal on ruminal parameters, intake and digestibility of nutrients from sheep fed with forage palm meal. Four (04) rumen fistulated sheep were used. Samples were collected for determination of nutrient intake and digestibility, ruminal fermentation pattern through the collection of ruminal liquid at the following times: 12AM; 2 AM; 4AM; 6AM; 8AM; 10AM; 12PM; 2PM; 4PM; 6PM; 8PM and 10PM, for determination of pH, N-NH3 and AGCC. The substitution of soybean meal by urea did not influence dry matter intakes, crude protein; ethereal extract; organic matter; mineral matter, total carbohydrates; non-fibrous carbohydrates, neutral detergent fiber. The replacement of soybean meal by urea did not influence the apparent digestibility coefficients of dry matter, crude protein, ethereal extract, neutral detergent fiber, total carbohydrates and non-fibrous carbohydrates. For all ruminal parameters evaluated, pH, N-NH3 and AGCC, there was no influence of the levels of urea substitution by soybean meal on any of the observed variables. Urea may replace soybean meal up to 2.4% in the diet of sheep fed diets based on forage palm without altering intake, nutrient digestibility and ruminal parameters.

Foram utilizados quatro (04) carneiros fistulados no rúmen. Foram realizadas coletas para determinação do consumo e digestibilidade de nutrientes e padrão de fermentação ruminal por meio da coleta de líquido ruminal nos horários: 0h00; 2h00; 4h00; 6h00; 8h00; 10h00; 12h00; 14h00; 16h00; 18h00; 20h00 e 22h00, para determinação do pH, N-NH3 e AGCC. A substituição do farelo de soja pela ureia não influenciou os consumos de matéria seca, proteína bruta, extrato etéreo, matéria orgânica, matéria mineral, carboidratos totais, carboidratos não fibrosos e fibra em detergente neutro. A substituição do farelo de soja pela ureia não influenciou os coeficientes de digestibilidade aparente de matéria seca, proteína bruta, extrato etéreo, fibra em detergente neutro, carboidratos totais e carboidratos não fibrosos. Para todos os parâmetros ruminais avaliados, pH, N-NH3 e AGCC, não houve influência dos níveis de substituição da ureia pelo farelo de soja em nenhuma das variáveis observadas.
