Vulnerabilidades em saúde: um estudo de caso LGBT sobre a aplicação clandestina de silicone líquido industrial

This work aimed to identify the vulnerabilities and difficulties of access to health services of an of a subject belonging to the group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transsexual and transgender (LGBT), who used industrial liquid silicone (ILS) for feminization of the body. In order to do so, we sought to know the life history and the impacts of SLI application on quality of life, personal and work life. The work was based on the discussion of the socio-historical aspects of Health Promotion in Brazil, from the conquest of Brazilian Health System (SUS) to the recognition of the rights to health of LGBT’s subjects. The concept of transsexuality and feminization of the body was discussed, revealing the main challenges and difficulties currently experienced by trans people. The methodology used is qualitative, descriptive, with bibliographic fulfilled in the period from may 2107 to november 2018 and participant observation during the three months of hospital admission in the year 2017. The case study was adopted, with the purpose of approaching the phenomenon, through a semi-structured interview and recording of the speeches, with content analysis, to understand what goes beyond what was said. In this case study it was possible to understand the aspects of transsexuality and the reasons for the clandestine use of SLI. It was verified that the participant of the study was exposed to several vulnerabilities and risk factors, such as poverty, bullying, prejudice due to sexual orientation among others that caused school dropout, low schooling, unemployment, and the ticket informal labor market. Violations of social rights and vulnerabilities in health of the National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transsexual and Transgender Integral Health Policy (PNSILGBT), as well as the lack of access to health services and guidelines were determinant for the application of SLI, bringing to the participant the risk of death and several sequels such as: physical, psychological, social, labor and spiritual conflicts. The challenges of the present moment in the broad social scenarios build bridges through research that enable us to fight for human dignity, to reduce the vulnerabilities and well-being of LGBT people.
