This dissertation investigates the narratives of resistance produced by the Palestinian-Brazilian activist Hasan Rabee on Instagram during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from October to November 2023. The main objective is to understand how the activist appropriates the platform to challenge hegemonic representations and give visibility to the struggle for the material and symbolic existence of the Palestinian people, transforming the experience of the military siege imposed on the Gaza Strip into transnational political agency. The theoretical framework is anchored in the concepts of platformization, narratives, transnational activism, and resistance. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative approach that combines the thematic analysis of a corpus of 135 posts with a semi-structured interview conducted with the Palestinian-Brazilian activist. Based on the identification of five thematic axes—repatriation, childhood, everyday life, massacre, and displacement—the empirical analysis focuses on an in-depth examination of the everyday life and repatriation categories. The everyday life axis reveals how the exposition of survival operates as a strategy of humanization and proof of life (sumud), while the repatriation axis demonstrates how digital visibility was converted into political and diplomatic pressure. The research concludes that Hasan's actions constitute a micro-resistance that subverts silencing by transforming his personal profile into a digital museum of memory, utilizing the loopholes in Big Tech architectures as a resource for survival. Finally, it points to the need for future studies to delve deeper into the categories of childhood, massacre, and displacement from the perspective of the distribution of the sensible and images as events.
