O primeiro capítulo enfoca o evangelho segundo João, evidenciando seu contexto histórico, suas principais características literárias e teológicas, bem como o contexto histórico e social da comunidade joanina que está na origem desse evangelho. O segundo capítulo estuda a cura do cego, mostrando como aparecem no texto o seu testemunho e a rejeição dos adversários que não querem ver. A narrativa mostra como o cego se liberta de uma cegueira inativa e abre gradativamente sua visão através de um testemunho firme e eloquente junto a pessoas decididas a rejeitá-lo, culminando com uma profissão pública de fé em Jesus como seu Senhor. A ameaça de expulsão da sinagoga não é capaz de deter o seu processo gradativo de recuperação da visão. Ao deixar-se iluminar por Jesus, o cego enfrenta com coragem as investidas dos fariseus e não teme se contrapor à opinião deles, mesmo que essa atitude lhe traga severa sanção. O cego curado se torna, assim, modelo para as comunidades. O terceiro capítulo atualiza o conteúdo do texto para os dias de hoje. Busca ver em que medida o episódio pode ser relevante para os cristãos e as cristãs de hoje, que vivem numa sociedade cada vez mais fragmentada pela descrença, discórdia, exclusão e violência.This paper aims to identify the itinerary of a man healed from his blindness to publicly testify to his faith in Jesus as Prophet and Son of Man (Jn 9-141), amid a climate of conflict and persecution experienced by Christians among Jews of synagogue, driven by ideologies that oppress, exclude and marginalize the human being. The first chapter focuses on the gospel according to John, highlighting its historical context, its main literary and theological characteristics, as well as the historical and social context of the Johannine community that is the origin of this gospel The second chapter studies the healing of the blind, showing how his testimony appears and the rejection of opponents who do not want to see in the text. The narrative shows how the blind man frees himself from inactive blindness and gradually opens his vision through firm and eloquent testimony to people determined to reject him, culminating in a public profession of faith in Jesus as his Lord. The threat of expulsion from the synagogue is not capable of stopping his gradual process of vision recovery. By letting himself be enlightened by Jesus, the blind man courageously faces the Pharisees' onslaughts and is not afraid to oppose their opinion, even if this will bring him a severe sanction. The healed blind person thus becomes a model for the communities. The third chapter updates the text content to the present day.
