Se ha tomado esta iglesia como referente para este estudio, ya que la ILFE ha sido una iglesia que históricamente desde su formación y desarrollo ha estado involucrada en diferentes espacios de la sociedad civil. Ha participado en mesas de movimientos sociales, redes de organismos no gubernamentales y espacios ecuménicos haciendo incidencia en diferentes temas sociales tales como el cambio climático, derechos humanos, género y violencia intrafamiliar, VIH y sida y derechos sexuales y reproductivos. Sin embargo, actualmente estas acciones en el ámbito público se han debilitado, esencialmente en espacios de toma de decisión. En el primer capítulo se trató de abordar el nacimiento y contexto histórico y actual de la ILFE. En el segundo capítulo se desarrolla un análisis de la percepción que tienen los dirigentes de la ILFE acerca de la participación ciudadana desde la iglesia en espacios públicos de toma de decisión. Tomando en cuenta la creación de la ley de participación ciudadana y la creación de la procuraduría especial para la participación ciudadana, exclusivamente creada y dirigida a grupos de interés de índole religiosa. En el último capítulo trata de rescatar la comprensión teológica acerca de la diaconía profética y las acciones que la ILFE implementa a partir del departamento de Diaconía y Desarrollo. Esta es una investigación de carácter cualitativo debido a que se dedicó a la indagación de aspectos subjetivos, por lo tanto, la investigación se apoya en el enfoque fenomenológico. Es un estudio que busca las percepciones y valoraciones de los dirigentes de la ILFE con respecto a la presencia del factor político en la praxis teológica de la misma y los desafíos sociales y políticos que enfrenta desde su derecho a la participación ciudadana. Este estudio propone no solamente el análisis de la influencia del poder político sobre lo religioso, sino que, es a la vez un impulso para la reflexión acerca del tema de la teología pública en Nicaragua.The main purpose of this research has been to reflect on citizen participation in the public sphere through pastoral practice and theological thought, specifically in the context of the Iglesia Luterana de Nicaragua Fe y Esperanza (ILFE). This church has been taken as a reference for this study, since the ILFE has been a church that historically since its formation and development has been involved in different spaces of civil society. It has participated in tables of social movements, networks of non-governmental organizations and ecumenical spaces advocating on different social issues such as climate change, human rights, gender and domestic violence, HIV and AIDS and sexual and reproductive rights. However, these actions in the public sphere have now been weakened, essentially in decision-making spaces. The first chapter dealt with the birth and the historical and current context of ILFE. The second chapter develops an analysis of the perception of ILFE leaders of citizen participation from the church in public decision-making spaces. Taking into account the creation of the law of citizen participation and the creation of the special prosecutor's office for citizen participation, exclusively created and aimed at religious interest groups. In the last chapter, it tries to recover the theological understanding about prophetic Diakonia and the actions that ILFE implements from the Department of Diakonia and Development. This is a qualitative research because it was dedicated to the investigation of subjective aspects, therefore, the research is based on the phenomenological approach. It is a study that seeks the perceptions and assessments of ILFE leaders with respect to the presence of the political factor in ILFE's theological praxis and the social and political challenges it faces from its right to citizen participation.
