Neste sentido, o estudo atual manteve a ênfase na análise das instituições privadas pelo fato de estas funcionarem em um nível de atuação mais competitivo do mercado atual e, também, pelo fato de considerar a importância da aplicação de um modelo de gestão baseado em valores éticos em organizações que atuam no setor educacional da sociedade. Considerando o contexto mencionado anteriormente, o tema principal abordado por esta pesquisa consistiu em analisar os desafios éticos na gestão das instituições privadas de ensino superior. Portanto, foram abordados assuntos relacionados com a contribuição da ética para a formação dos gestores das instituições privadas do ensino superior e foram analisados os desafios éticos encontrados por eles ao exercerem seu papel de gestor buscando uma educação de qualidade. Seguindo esta linha de análise, no decorrer do presente estudo foram identificados os modelos de gestão que estão sendo desenvolvidos nas instituições privadas do ensino superior no contexto atual. Foram desenvolvidas reflexões a respeito da importância da adoção de valores éticos no ambiente das organizações que atuam no mercado globalizado contemporâneo. No fim da pesquisa foi desenvolvida a análise de um estudo de caso aplicado realizado com uma IES com o intuito de comparar os valores éticos praticados pelos gestores das instituições privadas do ensino superior com os modelos ideais apontados pela literatura administrativa, com o intuito de identificar quais os aspectos administrativos podem ser influenciados pelo comportamento ético na gestão administrativa.The present research considers the various possibilities of management models applicable in the current context of the globalized society, emphasizing the importance of discussing the necessity of the ethical values inherent to the management process of the private institutions of higher education. In this sense, the current study has maintained the emphasis on the analysis of private institutions because they operate at a more competitive level of the current market and also because of the importance of applying a management model based on ethical values In organizations that work in the educational sector of society. Considering the aforementioned context, the main theme addressed by this research was to analyze the ethical challenges in the management of private institutions of higher education. In this sense, subjects related to the contribution of ethics to the training of the managers of the private institutions of higher education were discussed, as well as the investigation of the ethical challenges encountered by them in exercising their role of manager seeking a quality education. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate the ethical challenges encountered by managers of private institutions of higher education. Following this north, during the present study the management models that are being developed in the private institutions of higher education were analyzed. Reflections were made on the importance of adopting ethical values in the environment of the organizations that operate in the contemporary globalized market.
