A pesquisa foi desenvolvida a partir da análise do discurso e do método histórico-gramatical. Pretende-se recolher as informações do contexto sócio econômico, político e religioso, e compreender o assunto da perícope, quais destinatários bem como a classificação do discurso escatológico. O presente trabalho foi dividido em três partes. Na primeira parte, uma introdução geral ao método da análise do discurso e uma introdução ao capítulo treze do evangelho segundo Marcos. Um pequeno escorço historiográfico da ocupação romana na Palestina é alvo da segunda parte. Faz-se necessário, com o auxílio de hipóteses históricas, reconstruir as circunstâncias em que o discurso do Monte das Oliveiras se originou. Finalmente, na terceira parte, é apresentada a análise do discurso do Monte das Oliveiras a partir de diversos comentaristas e analisadas as principais escolas de interpretação. Espera-se, com os resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa exegética, a melhor compreensão do texto em questão e da mesma forma, proporcionar um horizonte de leitura a partir deste texto que favoreçam aos leitores uma clareza quanto aos temas escatológicos conforme apresentados no discurso registrado em Marcos 13. O presente estudo insere-se dentro da discussão maior da compreensão das correntes apocalípticas tanto do contexto primitivo do cristianismo quanto do atual, dedicando-se assim com profundidade ao registro selecionado para este campo especial.This research maps out the discourse elements of Jesus in chapter 13 of the Gospel of Mark seeking to bring contributions to the eschatological analysis. The research was developed based on discourse analysis and on the historical-grammatical method. One intends to gather together information on the social-economical, political and religious context and understand the subject of the pericope, who were the recipients as well as the classification of the eschatological discourse. This work was divided into three parts. In the first part, a general introduction to the method of discourse analysis and an introduction to chapter thirteen of the book of Mark is presented. A small historiographic summary of the Roman occupation in Palestine is the target of the second part. It is necessary to reconstruct the circumstances in which the discourse on the Mount of Olives took place with the help of historical hypothesis. Finally, in the third part, the analysis of the discourse of the Mount of Olives is presented based on various commentaries and analyses of the main schools of interpretation. One hopes that with the results obtained from this exegetical research, there will be a better comprehension of the text in question and, in the same way, that it may propitiate a horizon of reading from this text which will help the readers have more clarity as to the eschatological themes as presented in the discourse registered in Mark 13.
