O grau de Reserva Cognitiva (RC) é o que se constitui como diferencial no enfrentamento de danos e sequelas e problemas que afetam os domínios neurocognitivos. A espiritualidade, neste trabalho, se constitui como o recurso mobilizador para o autocuidado no enfrentamento e superação de limitações apresentadas. Esta tese apresenta a pesquisa qualitativa através de estudos de casos, de cunho experimental sobre a aplicação da Musicoterapia para potencializar a expressão da Reserva Cognitiva e estimular a espiritualidade com foco no autocuidado no Transtorno Neurocognitivo. Para que a realização deste estudo se tornasse possível foram selecionadas três pessoas que aceitaram participar desta investigação e que apresentam TNC em razão de trauma ou AVC sofrido. A pesquisa sustentou-se na análise das respostas obtidas a partir das 12 sessões de musicoterapia realizadas. Para possibilitar esta investigação e em respeito à Resolução 4665/12 esta proposta foi encaminhada ao CEP da Faculdades EST, do qual obteve a necessária autorização. Neste estudo pode ser confirmado que a Reserva Cognitiva interfere de forma importante na expressão da espiritualidade assim como no processo de reabilitação, sendo observado que uma baixa Reserva Cognitiva implica em restrições nos resultados esperados.Neurocognitive Disorders (TNCs) result in different sequelae in the affected individuals, partly due to the duration, severity and extent of the event and part of the differential presented by the Cognitive Reserve. The degree of Cognitive Reserve (CR) is what constitutes a differential in coping with damages and sequelae and problems affecting the neurocognitive domains. Spirituality, in this work, constitutes the mobilizing resource for self-care and faith in coping with and overcoming limitations presented. This thesis presents the qualitative research through case studies, on the application of Music Therapy to enhance the expression of the Cognitive Reserve and stimulate spirituality with a focus on self care and faith in Neurocognitive Disorder. In order to make this study possible, three people were selected who accepted to participate in this investigation and who presented TNC due to trauma or stroke. The research was based on the analysis of the responses obtained from the 12 sessions of Music Therapy performed. In order to enable this investigation and in compliance with Resolution 4665/12, this proposal was sent to the CEP of the Faculdades EST, from which it obtained the necessary authorization.
