Resumo: Bad news can be understood as those that drastically and negatively alter the patient's perspective on their future. The transmission of bad news is not an easy task for the health professional, who may even receive processes by transmitting it incorrectly. Objective: to develop a course aimed at communicating bad news, targeting adults, which will be made available to health professionals. Apply a preliminary questionnaire to diagnose the professionals' previous knowledge and a subsequent questionnaire to verify the perception of this professional after the course. Method: We evaluated 25 respondents from the preliminary questionnaire and 16 respondents who completed the course. Results: 100% of the graduates felt more comfortable transmitting bad news after completing the course; most of the editors pointed out an improvement in their bad news transmission skills; 100% points out that the course made sense to him; 93.75% believe that the use of an instrument or method to report bad news is relevant and 100% of the students believe that the methods presented in the course are practical and can be used in their daily lives. Conclusion: The course was developed and applied and the sample of participants showed an efficacy in the perception of improvement after its conclusion.

A transmissão de uma má notícia não é uma tarefa fácil para o profissional da saúde, que pode, inclusive, receber processos ao transmiti-la de forma incorreta. Objetivo: desenvolver um curso voltado para a comunicação de más notícias tendo como público-alvo adultos, que será disponibilizado aos profissionais da área da saúde. Aplicar um questionário preliminar para diagnosticar os conhecimentos prévios dos profissionais e um questionário posterior para verificar a percepção desse profissional após o curso. Método: Foram avaliados 25 respondentes do questionário preliminar e 16 respondentes que concluíram o curso. Resultados: 100% dos concluintes se sentiu mais confortável em transmitir uma má notícia após a realização do curso; a maioria dos concluintes apontou uma melhora em suas habilidades de transmissão de más notícias; 100% aponta que o curso fez sentido para ele; 93,75% acredita ser relevante a utilização de instrumento ou método para informar más notícias e 100% dos concluintes acredita que os métodos apresentados no curso são práticos e podem ser utilizados no seu dia-a-dia.
