Universidade Federal do Rio Grande, Rio Grande, 2021.https://repositorio.furg.br/handle/123456789/12287Dissertação ( Mestrado )Esse trabalho apresenta duas atividades desenvolvidas como parte da dissertação de mes- trado profssional em matemática, que utilizam a investigação matemática para estudar a Função Quadrática. Na primeira atividade, o estudante deverá conjecturar quantas moedas de mesmo tamanho serão necessários para preencher um círculo (ou disco) de diâmetro dado, a partir de algumas tentativas mediadas pelo professor. Já na segunda, procura-se otimizar a área de um campo para um determinado perímetro. A fm de auxiliar no desenvolvimento das tarefas, os alunos deverão preencher tabelas conforme as orientações do professor e com os dados obtidos marcar pontos no plano cartesiano. A partir da relação do tamanho do diâmetro com o número de moedas e de posse das medidas de comprimento e área dos retângulos, espera-se que concluam que a curva que passa pelos pontos marcados a partir da situação proposta é uma parábola, gráfco de uma Função Quadrática. Além disso, com as duas atividades é possível retomar conceitos como domínio, contradomínio, imagem, propriedades do gráfco e diferenciar alguns tipos de funções: Função Afm, Exponencial e Quadrática.This work presents two activities developed as part of the professional master’s thesis in mathematics, that use mathematical investigation to study the Quadratic Function. In the frst activity, the student must conjecture how many coins of the same size will be needed to fll a circle (or disc) with a given diameter, based on some attempts mediated by the teacher. In the second, the aim is to optimize the area of a feld for a specifc perimeter. In order to assist in the development of tasks, students must complete tables according to the teacher’s instructions and with the data obtained, score points in the Cartesian plane. Based on the relationship between the size of the diameter and the number of coins and possession of the measures of length and area of the rectangles, it is expected that they conclude that the curve that passes through the points marked from the proposed situation is a parable, graph of a quadratic function.
