The materiality of this research is the interview “Nicole, uma mulher de verdade”, granted in 1998 to Jornal do Nuances, LGBTTI+ journal for free sexual expression, based in Porto Alegre - RS. The analysis of the interview is anchored in the Discourse Analysis theory of a materialistic perspective, advocated by Michel Pêcheux, which starts with the analysis of the discursive functioning referring to the conceptualization of gender, body and woman. The aim is to analyze the non-submission of the body to the domain of the binary order and logical understanding, considering the (dis)identifications with the knowledge from the interdiscourse, manifested as preconstructed in the intradiscourse. The gender binarity that happens through a disjunctive logic is problematized, with the signifiers man or woman, to think about how the subject is inscribed in a position of in-between place, a space of indefinition in which the lack of object and the failure in language they introduce themselves. The trans body makes it possible to think of other forms of sexuation of the sexual subject, marked by the (im)possibility of authorizing oneself in the political field. We have evidence that the trans body is a body of resistance, since, in the interview under analysis “Nicole, uma mulher de verdade”, the subjectivation takes place in relation to the identification with femininity, but it is not determined by the dominant idea of woman. For “the real woman” does not exist. A woman can only exist in plurality and diversity.
