Considering that integral human formation is one of the structuring principles of Professional and Technological Education (PTE), this study arises from the need to identify pathways that foster its implementation in everyday educational practice. Based on the representations of the world of labor in Amapá literature, the research sought to understand its potential for integral, or omnilateral, formation. The formative power of literature, especially regional production, emerges as a promising alternative to strengthen educational practices by bringing content closer to students’ experiences and sociocultural contexts. The study is relevant as it articulates literature and professional training, reinforcing an education aimed at full human development. Through a qualitative, applied, and documentary approach, Content Analysis was adopted to examine 38 literary works from Amapá, in which 98 units of analysis were identified and organized into three categories: formal labor, informal labor, and illegal labor. The results reveal that, in addition to portraying productive activities, literature also exposes situations of injustice, exclusion, and resistance. These representations demonstrate that literary texts serve as a strategic resource to integrate education and the world of labor, stimulating critical reflection on inequalities, identities, and values. In this way, literature significantly contributes to the omnilateral and civic formation of PTE students. The educational product resulting from this research consisted of a literary guide in e-book format, integrating reflections on Amapá works and proposals for educational practices.
